  1. I understand 100%, but that's not what I was expecting them to do.
  2. The problem is when the demand dies down you have to let those people go plus you have to train them up in the short term. The rush needs to last long enough to justify that. Which it has. Companies hire people seasonally every year for the holidays. People work from Thanksgiving until Christmas. We are almost at 4 months. There are plenty of people out there who would be happy to work for 4 months. Great point!
  3. I dont see our discussion as combative at all. But if thats the vibe that's being percieved then I retract any/all statements. Those of you who would like to read the "quoted" portions of my posts, feel free, and judge for yourself whether they were "combative" or not. Just because something goes against your own opinion, that doesn't make it "combative"...that's called discussion. All of my "Original" posts related to this discussion have been deleted per "Sarge's" request as he believes they are against forum rules.

  5. And uploading random, arbitrary images of large machinery doesn't relate at all to my original point....

  9. Btw, I received an email back yesterday when inquiring about pricing and availability...the response was "website online Tuesday"...
  10. MGs sites all jammed up again. Either people are hitting it like crazy trying to get through to place an order or their cutting edge, frame-based design is finally showing its age. Why do websites in the firearm market ALL suck...? It's 2013, not 1993...
  11. fasttarget, Care to pass along said "nationally known gunsmith"s name...or at least initials...so none of us go through the same thing...
  12. I'd agree with this. However, what do you do when that estimated timeline gets thrown out the window? Its been longer than the lead time originally given to you, but you only get excuses, and stories of all the problems that are creating delays. Should that be acceptable? I think a good response would be, "Get your rear in gear and build my gun or ship my parts back to me." +1
  13. I'm using hardy steel spacers in my 140 and 170s with grams guts. TTI 4mm on the 140s and 3mm on the 170s
  14. Are your guns hardchromed or cobalt? He does Cobalt & Cerakote finishes. Spoke to daniel a few times, but he's having some back trouble and will out of commission for a little while. Extremely nice guy btw!
  15. I thought Tulas were non corrosive...as it says on the packaging...
  16. Had robar do an np3 finish on my old edge. It was a nice finish, if you don't mind the yellow tint. Not happy with the reassembly of my gun though, as I had extractor issues after I received it back, not to mention it rattled since nothing had been tightened before shipping back to me. Not impressed. Spoke to Chris at metaloy a few times...he's getting my work, hands down.
  17. I agree with Lee. When you pay that kind of money and wait for that period of time...you should get something that runs...period. Not sure what "finicky" things your referring to in your post, but my Gans gun runs and runs...no problems at all...ever! And 6 day turnaround.
  18. Im using 4mm on my 140s, and 3mm on my 170s. If your running 9s and a spacer, I had to shave off some from the bottom of my spacers (Hardy) to fit properly on the 3mm on the 140 tubes.
  19. Need help deciding on who to hardchrome my 2011 open and new Limited top-end. Pro's, con's, anything... Looking right now at the following: 1. Metaloy 2. Plate-Tacular Thanks in advance!
  20. Who did your Hardchrome? Polished flats?
