    standard sti 140mm (9/38). I may go ahead and lap off some of the delrin tension pad in the pouches to see if that works.

    Just spoke with Chris at Metaloy. Wow, he's a really nice guy! Took the time to answer all my questions too. Their hardchrome thickness is .0002" on the surface.

    Just my 2 cents...Sent my old Edge 9mm out to robar for an NP3 finish. Fast turnaround and nice finish, but the gun came back very loose (yes, rattling). Nothing was tightened down. I tightened things down, then 50 rounds later my extractor broke. Nothing unusual with loads, same pf as always. Sent it back and they tuned things up, checked the finish and replaced the broken extractor (still not sure why it broke). Overall, GREAT finish, great turnaround, and very nice people to deal with. +1 to Robar Does anyone know the tolerances of Metaloy's hardchroming? Thickness-wise?

    Looking for preferences and opinions on new slide for 9mm Open gun. STI Slide Manufacturing ok now? I know they had problems a while back with their 9/38 slides. Should I just stick with Caspian? Slide will be lightened and fitted for comp. Thanks in advance!
