  1. Only regret I have after getting the 1050 was I tried a RL550 and XL650 for some of the other calibers I reload for, got rid of them and will do the 6 calibers I shoot on the 1050 plus 1 time run of 500 rds of 300 Savage for the family back home, So guess if it were me the LnL would be gone
  2. Leland

home finally, I'll get pictures tomorrow. The press was picked up in a trade ,is 5 yrs old and now has 5.3 K through it , I ran 500 .45 the other day

    Bob

  3. Thanks for the link, the plastic handle is the only thing I don't care for on the 1050
  4. Just did the clean up bench thing a while back, out the door with a 550 & 650 and more caliber conversions for the 1050. Will be getting rid of another 650 shortly and maybe a couple Stars as the 1050 seems to be my go to machine
  5. Never thought about getting one coated , used to send our pipe swaging tooling out to get TiN coated worked great untill it wore off
  6. Anyone use a old MA Systems Easy Loader anymore ?
  7. I just love sorting a 5 gallon bucket of .45 to get the s/p out
  8. I'm with the guys below, started out with the RCBS unit, then picked up the Hornady then added a ss 600 to see what the hype was about, Still have the Hornady and dumped the Dillon and RCBS. Added a 1/40hp motor to it and used it untill I ended up with a 1050
  9. need to figure out what parts to collect to run 300 Savage on the 1050 , looking for ideas looks like it would use the same shellplate , funnel and locator buttons as the 308
  10. This is reason in itself to get the 1050 conversions. I recently tried loading again on my 650 and its painful compared to the 1050 This, I'd rather change the 1050 over then use the 650 for anything
  11. In the only picture I've seen the toolhead was milled
  12. Mike was quoted a standard price shipped @ $263 US and a discount to try it over here @ $197 US
  13. There would be a decent market if the price was right. I would think that an injection molded model would dirt cheap to make after the start up cost. I'm about a 45 minutes from the 2 main reloading supply dealers for the US market if you could put a injection mold model in their hands at the right price point you would do great as there is a market but it's got to be quite a bit lower...

  14. That's a very nice unit , would you be able to get it to a price that would sell here if you went to a injection molded handle ?
  15. Order from Brian and have it shipped to Texas. Run the numbers on shipping vs 8.75% sales tax. Forgot about tax , your going to pay more in tax then what it cost to ship my 1050
  16. Gee dosen't Brian ship for free for $400 and more ? ETA: guess not to AK.
  17. $79.95 glad mine is working fine. Think I'd be pissed if I had to buy one to cure problems with the one that came with the press
  18. I share one between the1050 and 650 , not a big deal. I'd buy another toolhead before a casefeeder
  19. Which do you prefer the most?
  20. I'd buy every single one I could find at a $100 like the OP is asking about The one I am looking at has: -automatic primer system -automatic powder measure system -automatic ejector system It also has carbide dies for 45 acp
  21. Pretty simple but not a swivel, everything is 3/8", circled are 6 set screws to hold plate inplace. Someday I'll paint it and drill divets on all sides for the set screws
  22. From your talk me out of it post I'd think you'll be fine with out buying the DVD, buy powder or primers instead your going to need them
