  1. That one sounds bit on the dangerous side. Of course, in the unlikely event that a full primer tube detonates, with 100 primers max, at least the machine can be rebuilt. If 500 primers went off, you might not be able to rebuild yourself. Saw a turret primer setup for a Star that held 1000 primers in 10 plastic tubes, no Thank you
  2. Also could use a Star rotery feeder with a little work
  3. Tony the primer thing was something the last couple guys brought up , was kind thinking that it was the case that they would have trouble with anything not idiot proofed 1 machine set for 15 yrs, 2 were used in the last yr and the fort I have no idea as it came from the Amarillo P.D.
  4. Getting close to finally being able to reload with one of the Stars that I've collected, was talking to a gentlman the other day who said that mixed brass didn't run to well through them is this true, what about primer brands ?
  5. Buddy was getting odd throws and wiped the hopper out with a dyer sheet , anti static thingy and that helped
  6. Thanks for the input , the TC was the direction I was leaning but more input always helps
  7. Thanks guys in advance for any input on which and why
  8. dejadoo thanks for the links, missed that over there. Now to watch for the group buy to start
  9. Thanks Steve,That pretty much answers and settles things. 650 it'll be which is a plus as I'm going to convert dies to run .223 with the Star later on
  10. Off hand it looks like the 650 is the direction I'm leaning, what's the "special sub-plate" ?
  11. Whats the difference between the 550 case feeder and the 650 other then no rifle in the 550 ? Looking at maybe using one to feed a Star reloader and wondering which to get
  12. Not sure if to be happy about coming across this thread as I'd settled on the LnL over the 650. Guess I'll research a little more
  13. Have a box of Berry's .38 Super 130gr RN that I've run a few in the 9mm with unique, just put the calipers to them and they all come out .354 , not sure if I've gotten a bad box or the calipers are off, guess I'll take the calipers to work Fri and check them against a few other ones. Guess it's time to get a back-up set
  14. Steve you would think/hope they would as I've found no trouble setting a MA Systems collator up to feed LSWC
  15. Great post going save a bunch, now to order a few sheets and heat gun. Single stack for me a doubles for the wife. Maybe waste a little material a try a built in cant
  16. A couple years back me and a buddy shipped 20,000 pounds of 2/6/92 alloy over a several month period, we dropped it off at the P/O, but there were several folks that their carriers wouldn't deliver it to their house
  17. MA systems builds one, i built one similar that I used on my cast bullet sizer I've got one from MA systems, it's not the cast bullet it's the lube that is the problem. I use a semi soft lube and if I get a few specks in the system it can foul things up. Talked with the gentleman from Mr. Bulletfeeder a while back and he suggested a dusting of mica if I wanted to feed lubed bullets to a press
  18. I missed that but looks like you're right, Maybe they figure we will be faster then it is but if I'm able to come up with one think I'll add a piece of tube with a switch for $2.50.
  19. Thanks for the input, clean holes it'll be. When i got the caster the gentleman suggested I take the 200-SWC over the 185-SWC,
  20. Corey, RIF Knew I could google but quite often it's better to see what people use and have found they like
  21. We have used DSL and cable and I'm finding the cable to have more constancy in speed , that said I'd love AT&T to get dsl service to me so I could tell the cable company what they could do with their high prices
  22. got hit with a piece down in the valley at the Single Stack Nationals this year, was clear back on the road. Startles you a bit. Glad your okay
  23. Okay looking at adding another set of .45 molds, right now I've have 185 SWC BB and 230 RN BB . What would you add next ?
  24. The large M/A collator uses a 1LPV9 Dayton motor which runs around $140, of course that is a lot better motor then needed for a bowl full of brass. i found a little 12vdc motor that is seeming to work fine in a small 5 gal bucket type unit
