Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. If I was to do it again (and I will), i'd go with the chain drive setup The PW works, but it's got its problems.
  2. I have a CV-2001 that is dying. Does anyone know off hand what the brushes and bearings part numbers are? I'd rather not have to send the whole thing to Dillon, especially right now. Thank you.
  3. Same. When I got my first 1050, that g-d thing was getting in the way more times than anything, and really making me mad. I've taken them off all my tool heads and never looked back
  4. Does anyone know the specifics of the motor Dillon uses for its trimmer? It's part number, RPMs, torque, etc? Thank you.
  5. What was the problem? Because if its the bolt on the bottom of the press on the left side, I have the same problem and was considering loctite myself.
  6. Before hooking up the PW, pull the handle down so that you're at the bottom stop. Make a mark on the side of the swage assembly, and a mark on the crank so that you know that's what the bottom stop should be, Then hook your PW back up and see if you're hitting the same stop. In this pic, you can see where I made my mark on the swage assembly.
  7. The brass is once fired LC military surplus, and it's all about 1.765 give or take a couple .001's I was trying to push the shoulder down so that it would fit perfectly in the dillon case guage. As it is right now, the base sticks up just a little too high in the guage (before sizing). It's not in between the high and the low marks.
  8. I'm getting my old 650 setup again, it's been a few years since I've used it. I have a .223 carbide resize die in station 1, adjusted all the way down to the shell plate. The expander ball/decap pin is not installed. When I run a piece through the press, it comes out with a "mini shoulder" immediatly above the shoulder, on the neck. I don't think it's normal, but I don't know what's wrong. You can see it in the pic. It doesn't look like much, but you can sure feel it.
  9. Doing some reading, it seems you have to mill your toolhead for the trim die to work properly, but all of this was in regards to a 650 toolhead. Do I need to modify a toolhead on a super 1050? Is CH4D the only guy making a trim die for .300blk? Is it a full length size die?
  10. I have always gotten any part for free from Dillon. Including new dies and die parts that broke. Even for a 1050 press?
  11. Covered? As in under warranty? I don't think so. I've already bought a half-dozen of them, and I just realized I'm on my last one. The part specifically that im after is the part that the decap pin threads into, for .223 caliber.
  12. The part number is 13182 The part description is "upper decap bolt 223" Neither one of those brings up what I'm looking for. Can someone give me a hand or advice?
  13. Yeah, I'd call Dillon and get a list of dealers. The trouble is, they only have a list of TX dealers. He won't be able to tell you which one is closest to your AO. So get ready to write down a list of about 20 cities, and start googling their locations.
  14. Bruce sent me a new one, no questions asked. I'm happy.
  15. Is this considered a "pro tip"? I was thinking the same thing to be honest. I like to have spares on hand, and if this is a part that's prone to breaking I'd like to have backups.
