  1. I've said this before in other threads. I think it would be really fun to have a 'Dirty Harry' division where you have to shoot a magnum revolver, strong hand only, all hits are Alphas, one shot neutralizes the target. This would be especially fun in three gun matches, using the one gun. You could walk up as close to rifle targets as you needed to. And you can only walk. I don't believe the movie version of Harry Callahan ever needed to run. If you run out of ammo you just ask the target if it feels lucky.
  2. I think there should be a 'Dirty Harry' division. Shoot a magnum revolver, strong hand only, one shot to neutralize a target, all hits are As. If you run out of ammo you ask the target if it feels lucky.
  3. I can only get 19 in mine. If I manage to jam in a 20th, they won't seat in the gun with the slide forward. I whittled on the followers too. I emailed TTI about it and they told me there are "issues" with older mags. Their fix was to advise me to buy new mags.
  4. Where do you get your locking blocks? Do you specify which one you want? I think I may try replacing mine.
  5. If you go to Arizona in the winter you'll see alot of folks you know from Montana.

    Nope

I predict 300 replies to this thread befor it gets closed.
  7. I wouldn't put anything in a dishwasher that I wouldn't want to eat. Meaning all the powder residue, lube and lead that you are trying to cllean off. You don't want that stuff on your dishes and silverware.
  8. Just as well, i ordered one for full price yesterday.
  9. I have a VM Sportsman with a 28" barrel. I sent it off to C-Rums for a lifter and port work and put a Carbon Arms Versatube on it. Probore chokes are, IIRC, under $10 each at CDNN. Voila, a reliable 3 gun shotgun with 10+1 capacity for right around $1000, cheaper if you hog out the port yourself. It does not have an adjustable stock like the standard VM.
  10. I was at the Hamilton match too and also had a blast. The Boulder matches are always fun. Their range is larger so you can expect rifle targets out to 300 yards and bonus targets out to 500. They have been doing multigun matches for a while and have acquired all sorts of fun and evil targets. Stars, plate racks, propeller plate racks, spinners, dueling trees and whatever else they've invented this year.
  11. Since when is any of this about 'need'? I want an Accu-Shadow because I want it. I might want a match fit barrel too.
  12. Remington makes and sells black plastic furniture for the 1100. You can find it in their online store or, I believe, Brownell's. The one I got has a nice soft recoil pad. I think SpeedFeed makes stocks for the 1100 as well.
  13. I grew up in Brooklyn where we have our own language. Some of it is here: http://voices.yahoo.com/the-brooklynese-dictionary-11440122.html Favorites that I remember: Ant'ny: The name, Anthony. Bupkes: Loosely translates to mean, nothing. "That ain't worth Bupkes" Chewtch: The Brooklynism of "douche," which is still used, to call someone a jerk. Earl: Oil. Flatleaver: Someone who breaks plans or a date when they believe something better came up. Ex: "Don't invite Jessica, she flatleft me for Tony last week and never showed up." "He don't know from nothin." or "He don't know nothin' from nothin'": He's not that smart "I got your …right hea": A statement made with sarcastic undertones while grabbing your crotch, when you don't care about something. "I'm not married to Con Edison": Shut off the damn lights. "Who died and made you boss?": Common phrase used to let a person know you aren't going to listen to their demands, complaints, concerns, or orders.
  14. I'm looking for a youth size gun for my wife. See my thread in the classified section. Bud's has the CZ Redhead Reduced Length 20g O/U for under $750. Does anyone have any experience with these or similar CZ shotguns? How does it compare to Browning Citoris?
  15. Two men were sitting next to each other at A pub in New York. After awhile, one bloke looks at the other and says, I cant help but think, from listening to you, that youre from Ireland The other bloke responds proudly, Yes, that I am! The first one says, So am I! And where about from Ireland might you be? The other bloke answers, Im from Dublin , I am. The first one responds, So am I! Mother Mary and begora. And what street did you live on in Dublin ? The other bloke says, A lovely little area it was. I lived on McCleary Street in the old central part of town. The first one says, Faith and its a small world. So did I! So did I! And to what school would you have been going? The other bloke answers, Well now, I went to St. Marys, of course. The first one gets really excited and says, And so did I. Tell me, what year did you graduate? The other bloke answers, Well, now, lets see. I graduated in 1964. The first one exclaims, The Good Lord must be smiling down upon us! I can hardly believe our good luck at winding up in the same place tonight. Can you believe it, I graduated from St. Marys in 1964 my own self! About this time, Vicky walks up to the bar, sits down and orders a drink. Brian, the barman, walks over to Vicky, shaking his head and mutters, Its going to be a long night tonight. Vicky asks, Why do you say that, Brian? The Murphy twins are drunk again.

    Shotgun for wife

Any opinions on a Winchester Super X3 Compact in 20 g?
  17. Apparantly, sometimes it is the arrow and not the Indian. I've added stuff to mine, mostly because I like tinkering.
  18. There are regular updates. The Ballistic CQ reticle is on the list though it does not specify the MTAC. It looks just like the one in my TAC30.
  19. These http://www.breakawayusa.com/products/accessories/coasters/ work like a charm. A little more than $1.50 though.
  20. There are and have been great competitors in this sport. Truly great athletes will never concentrate on USPSA because the money is not there. Exceptional athletes are guided towards pro sports from an early age. Shooting is a pastime, a hobby for the rest of us. Of course I'm not talking about law enforcement or the military. Imagine what USPSA would be like if the likes of Michael Jordan in his prime or the Williams sisters were shooters.
  21. As if anyone needed anothe reason not to like Arizona.
  22. I thought revolver ammunition needed to be crimped to prevent setback under recoil. Am I right about this? Is this just true for larger calibers with more recoil than powder puff 9s?
