  1. I thought they only did that in the movies. Is a set up like that competition legal? If it is why doesn't everyone use it? It's got to be the fastest way to reload, at least in Hollywood. Roy
  2. When I got home last night, my wife demanded that I take her someplace expensive.....so, I took her to a gas station..... And that's how the fight started.... ******************************************************** I tried to talk my wife into buying a case of Miller Light for $14.95. Instead, she bought a jar of cold cream for $7.95. I told her the beer would make her look better at night than the cold cream. And that's how the fight started…. ******************************************************** After retiring, I went to the Social Security office to apply for Social Security. The woman behind the counter asked me for my driver's license to verify my age. I looked in my pockets and realized I had left my wallet at home. I told the woman that I was very sorry, but I would have to go home and come back later. The woman said, 'Unbutton your shirt.' So I opened my shirt r evealing my curly silver hair. She said, 'That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me' and she processed my Social Security 0Aapplication. When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the Social Security office. She said, 'You should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten disability, too. ' And that's how the fight started..... ********************************************************* My wife and I were sitting at a table at my high school reunion, and I kept staring at a drunken lady swigging her drink as she sat alone at a nearby table. My wife asked, 'Do you know her?' 'Yes,' I sighed, 'She's my old girlfriend. I understand she took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear she hasn't been sober since.' 'My God!' says my wife, 'Who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?' And that's how the fight started..... *************************** ****************************** I rear-ended a car this morning. So, there we were alongside the road and slowly the other driver got out of his car. You know how sometimes you just get soooo stressed and little things just seem funny? Yeah, well I couldn't believe it.... he was a DWARF!!! He stormed over to my car, looked up at me, and shouted, 'I AM NOT HAPPY!!!' So, I looked down at him and said, 'Well, then, which one are you?' And that's how the fight started..... ******************************************************** I took my wife to a restaurant. The waiter took my order. 'I'll have the strip steak, rare, please.' He said, 'Aren't you worried about the mad cow?' 'Nah, she can order for herself.' And that's how the fight started.....
  3. None of you should bother to enter this month as I am planning to win it.
  4. Thanks for the heads up. There are no affiliated dealers in my state. There is a match at my local range though.
  5. Some current buy it now auction prices: Witness Stock: $775 XD: $399 M&P Pro $600 at LGS Glock 17 $539 Glock 34 $597 CZ85 Combat $531 CZ75 SP01 $549 Bersa T9mm $329 at LGS add shipping to all of them except the LGS. Are these comparable to real world prices?
  6. My local club has discouraged me from shooting it at matches. Plus, it's a reason to get a new gun.
  7. I'd forgotten about the Witness line. (I have been doing my research, I swear ) Is the "Match" version legal in Production? It's not on the list that I can tell. Roy
  8. Just the aforementioned .380 and a .22 revolver. Roy
  9. They looked fine in those videos and others at those pages. There was a malfunction in the first vid at about 5:30 in and another soon after. How common is that? Roy
  10. New guy on these forums though I've been lurking for weeks. My 16 year old daughter and I were watching USPSA shooting on Shooting USA a few weeks ago and she said "That looks like alot of fun. We should do it." I believe that any time your teenager wants to do something with you you do it. Fortunately this is something I've always thought looked like fun too. Trouble is none of my pistols are Production legal. I'm looking for a low cost pistol to use to see if we have as much fun as we think we will before investing in any high end equipment. I'm asking about the Bersa Thunder 9 because it is about half the cost of anything else out there and I have had very good experience with my little Bersa Thunder 380. I'd like to hear if anyone has any direct experience shooting matches with one. I know that the M&P Pro, XD, CZ 75 or Glock 34 are the usual recommendations for newbies. I may end up with one of these but I thought I'd ask about the Bersa before taking the plunge. I know renting and trying is the best way to go but there is no opportunity for that where I live. Thanks, Roy
