  1. The externally threaded “screws” with the square shank and smooth mushroom head goes in the holster side. The holster holes have the square drive manufactured into it. The smooth internal thread inserts with the Phillips head goes through the back of the hanger. Cant find my Boss, but it mounts up the same as the Henning I currently have it on.
  2. It should’ve come with the threaded inserts. Yours didnt have this bag of hardware?
  3. Red for me, there’s more contrast against the trees/grass in the background at my local range.
  4. Are these shipping times still accurate? I placed my order April 15 for a 8MOA and the tracking number from April 18 still shows awaiting item. I’m only like 3 hrs from where the tracking origin.
  5. Can’t beat a Big Dog Steel Carnivore for delivery time, rigidity, speed, fit, and security for a full body holster. If you want to stick to Kydex, Hammer Armament makes excellent holsters with a reasonable lead time for a custom holster.
  6. Finally got to try out a CMMG radial delayed gun today. One of the guy I shoot with had a Banshee that basically wouldnt eject. I told him I’d take a look at it and found that his ejector only had like #3 of pressure. I pulled the ejector spring out and it was considerably shorter than a new spring. He said he only had like 300 rounds through that spring since he replaced the original spring for ejection issues. The MEAN Arms blows the CMMG out of the water in all shooting attributes. It is way softer, flatter, and way more consistent ejection. The only thing the CMMG has the MEAN Arms best is cost, but I am so glad that I spent the extra money on the MEAN Arms. I haven’t added any new update simply because this thing has been running perfectly with zero malfunctions or quirks. It’s been used for matches twice a month and has not been cleaned since I switched to the optional lifter back in December 2023.
  7. Dot matrix Paint pen or nail polish is probably the most common
  8. @glock24 Give them a call. My buddy said they have some buffers (probably a secret stash), $7 each. Dont know who’s gonna assist, but if you ask for Carter he’ll know what you’re talking about and should be able to assist.
  9. It’s gonna depend on the shape of the takedown lever. I have the Shadow 2 holster but I wouldnt be worried about any rigidity issues if I had to dremel out a pocket between the mount holes. The material is very strong.
  10. My friend works at The Attic and shoots a Redback. I could ask him if he has any spare buffers if you need.
  11. I found the 510 didnt get bright enough for me during bright conditions. YMMV 507 Comp would be a great option. I’m personally running a Vortex UH-1 gen 2. I prefer it over the Eotech due to having no shroud giving it a cleaner sight picture.
  12. I use a DAA Lynx with ratchet. Inner belt velcro stickness doesnt matter much since it’s cinched tight. A collapsible inner belt matters more. Good thing is DAA has a super cheap cinchable belt. https://www.doublealpha.biz/us/daa-ratchet-inner-belt
  13. Check out the MEAN Arms bearing delay upper for another option.
  14. A heavier hammer spring does take more energy for the slide to start moving back. So in theory, you could lighten the recoil spring and not batter the frame. Again, I’ve never scientifically tested this, just my guess.
  15. Probably because 2011’s run much heavier mainspring, like #7, 19, 21. Most Shadows commonly run #11.5 to keep the DA pull weight down since their being used in DA/SA divisions.
  16. Did you perhaps use pliers to squeeze the mag body to remove the basepad? Could’ve crushed the body enough to cause the follower to bind. Do you get this failure when hand cycling a full mag? Or is only during live fire? I’m not implying any user error. Just brainstorming a bit. I have recently picked up a TTI +10 and it’s been working with no issues without having to blend or break in the OEM 33 round mag. My TF Goliath also works with no problems. ETS worked in mine until after the last round when the bolt picked up the follower and shoved it into my breech. My bolt goes over the follower of Glock mags as it should.
  17. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat. I enjoy this platform much more than the MPX. It’s nice to run my preferred stock (UBR) without having to buy a conversion kit for the MPX. The MPX was also beating up my Hiperfire Eclipse hammer, as I can see circular marks the edges were starting to shows signs of mushrooming. Also nice to be able to tune the buffer system to your preference with any standard AR parts and not 9mm specific parts. $1,500 is pricey for an upper, but I feel the performance is worth it. I’m assuming most people already have a running AR, this worked perfect slapped onto a standard AR lower with no need to change anything. The only limitation is that you cant hold more than 30 rounds until they start delivering their 40 round mags and that you cant short stroke it, which is why I eventually got a dedicated glock mag lower. Someone asked about spare parts and this was MEAN’s reply: The uppers include the MEAN Lifetime Warranty, which means that we'll always fix or replace the product. All maintenance for the Bearing Delay upper is free (including parts and labor) if the customer ships the upper to us. For customers who want to perform their own maintenance, the first PM Kit is shipped free for any Bearing Delay upper, at the customer's request.
  18. The Holosun is still plenty bright, it’s not like it unusable or anything. It’s just an observation that it doesnt go full nuclear bright and a Trijicon/Aimpoint. It’s only like a half brightness setting below that. My carry gun has the EPS Carry on it, not concerned about reticle brightness at all.
  19. I’d definitely slap on a 9mm brass deflector if I was a lefty. Heck, I can get a cheap 3d printed one and slap it on for science and left handed shots.
  20. Nope. It’s the exact same given equal spring rates.
  21. ETA: 12/29/23 Shot another 120 rounds yesterday to test out some new buffer configurations. First configuration: Short stroked Armaspec SRS Carbine buffer with nylon spacer from Home Depot and an additional spacer for the secondary spring to increase preload on the BCG. I did not encounter any light strikes with it this time. I’d have to say this reduced muzzle movement like 10% compared to the short stroked Tubbs AR flatwire/carbine buffer setup. Second configuration: Short stroked Tubbs AR spring and Kynshot 5000HP. My friend had one that he was not going to use so I asked if I could try it out before he returned it. My oh my. I thought my gun was flat before but this combo was even flatter. I did 6 shots of doubles at 15 yards and could cover the entire 12 rounds group with just 3 pasters. I was almost stacking bullets on bullets with the doubles BCG stroke bottomed out. Buffer is not bottomed out. BCG and Kynshot buffer fully bottomed out 12/31/23 Shot a 2 gun match today. Over 1000 rounds now with no ejection issue. I did have a load that must’ve had a half charge because it did not cycle the BCG enough to pick up another round and sounded weak as well. RO and spectators noted that it sounded funny on that malfunction as well.
