  1. So I guess Crimson and White are out of the question? LOL!
  2. No, I took it off before I did the sanding.
  3. Thanks...I'm kinda partial to the OD Glocks:
  4. I've rounded the extended magazine release a couple times with good results. I started with 400 grit sandpaper to get it the shape I wanted, then used 1500 grit and 2000 grit to get it smooth. Here's a pic:

    Glock sights

Another vote for the Warren/Sevigny competition sights.
  6. And make sure you save your brass...you'll start reloading sooner or later, and the winchester brass is pretty good stuff.
  7. OP: I've had that same kit for several months now, and it works fine...you'll probably want to chunk the brass polish that comes with it, though, because it's pretty useless. I use NuFinish car polish and a little mineral spirits in mine. I also use a Dillon 550
  8. How's the trigger on that MSAR?
  9. What kinda lower is that on the top one? Both look nice!
  10. You don't need the case feeder or the bullet feeder. You'll need the press, dies, a scale, a caliper, and extra primer pickup tubes. I use one of those "slim-line" CD cases as a primer flip tray and it works very well for that. The strong mount is nice if you have room.
  11. Which, if either, of these magwells will fit in the IDPA box for ESP on a G22? I want to build one to use for both IDPA ESP and Limited.
  12. Thanks...that makes me feel better. Nothing I tried worked, and I was beginning to think I did something wrong.
  13. I shot my first USPSA/IPSC match this past saturday after shooting IDPA for the past couple of years. I had a blast, and I signed up to join USPSA this morning. The site gave me a temporary login number and PIN, but I can't get it to work in the member login on the website. I don't want to wait for my membership packet to arrive...what am I doing wrong?!? Thanks!
  14. I haven't bought off GB, but I did order 1000 once-fired 9mm cases from powdervalley.com for $28. That was the cheapest I found, and the brass was clean when I got it.
  15. HOLY COW ETA: he couldn't possibly lay all the blame on her, IMO...how could one not notice nearly 100 grand's worth of stuff popping up around the homestead?
  16. Thanks for the welcome, guys!
  17. I'm pretty new to the shooting world...I only started competing in IDPA a couple of years ago, and I'm planning on shooting my first USPSA match this month. I haven't posted here much, but I've been reading ALOT. I've learned quite a bit and I'm still not done just reading. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest, LOL.
  18. My bench is 38" and my 550 is on a strong mount. Seems to be a good height for me, but I'm 6'4".
  19. I'd go with the Glock, because they're more easily customized, parts are readily available, and you don't have to send them back to the factory when they break. I like the stock trigger on the Glock as well. I had an XD9, then I got a G17. I liked the 17 so much I traded the XD for a G19.
  20. Waiting to hear suggestions here.
  21. I've been shooting WWB 115's (in the 100 round value pack from Wal-Mart) lately in my G17, and I'd like to load something similar for my first attempt at reloading, to act as a "jumping-off point" for further experimentation. What powder and charge will I need...does anyone know what powder Winchester uses in the WWB's? My press just came in yesterday (thanks Brian, BTW!), so I figured I'd stick with what I know runs the gun till I gain a little more confidence and experience.
  22. And here it is now. Just gotta get some powder and primers and I'm ready to start loading!
  23. Just arrived from Brian a few minutes ago. Took 5 days total from the time I ordered it to make it all the way to Alabama. I'll post more pictures once it's all set up.
