  1. Interesting discussion. I just put a Venek classic in my Gen 4 17 and went with the 4.5 lb spring and several light strikes with magtech ammo first try. I put the 5 lb spring in and Ill be trying that soon... hopefully that will fix it. I can be having light strikes.
  2. Filled up real fast.... planned on waiting... glad I didn't. Seems like they had a smallish number of slots this year?
  3. Harvard does put on a heck of a match, great bunch of guys there! Hopefully I will be able to hit the match this year!
  4. Hi, What style is the high noon holster. I'm interested.

  5. Great match! harvard really puts on a sweet match all the time. This was a must shoot. Nice job and thanks to Dan and all the guys and gals at the match and who helped out. I especially loved that stage the Maine boys put together
  6. Well I'll chime in also. I have been shooting for about 18 months and this was my first (OF MANY ) Major matches and I loved it! I got certified as an RO this spring and was very impressed to see a professional group of RO's putting the training to use. I drove down from Maine for the match as did several others. I'd go back in a second. Very professional, all the staff were class all the way. I was amazed at how quickly things moved along and 12 satges felt like they took about as much time as 5-6 back home. I shot Sat am with a mixed squad, my self and another guy from Maine, I enjoyed meeting the guys we shot with, also a class bunch. I was especially impressed with Greg from RI. Classy guy, very serious, I enjoyed watching him shoot and he put up a pretty respectable showing in production. A big thanks to all the staff and sponsors! I can't wait to shoot my next Area match! Lots of trainning for me to prep for next year! Shaun

What do you use for a dry lube?

    Mag Care

With the price of mags now I want to prolong the life of my mags. Ive been shooting almost 1.5 years with my mags. They are getting a little grainy feeling and I had a FTF yesterday, that I am pretty sure is on the mag. My thoughts are take um apart and wash them out let them dry and put them back together..... do they need any lube etc? My mag springs still feel ok, but are they ready to be changed out yet? Followers???? Thanks Shaun
  9. I hear ya...keep her happy so she will let you come out and shoot
  10. Just shoot it stock...you need no more advantages over me! Get the Vanek! and it was only like 225....worth every penny...(perhapse someday my scores will reflect that statement!) Shaun
  11. What is this FP-10 grease stuff and where can you find it?
  12. That is a bummer, I was looking forward to attending. Now I have no reason to go to PA to visit my sister She will be disappointed! Any chance this could change? Probbly not bu I have to ask
  13. I guess I need some clarity also, I shoot l-10 with my Glock, but all my mags are 15 rd capicty, I doubt I will be buying 15 new mags........ Hmmmmm
  14. Ill be there! Looking forward to it. Im way to new at this to know anything about the old matches, but I'm sure it will be a great match. I would bet there will be several others comming down from Maine. Shaun
  15. I'm looking forward to the match also. This will be my second big match of the season, only my second season of shooting. I'm hooked, love it. Can't wait to shoot this match. Going to bring the wife and kiddo and make a mini vacation out of it!
