  1. Spent Friday and Saturday cranking out rounds. I have loaded all the brass and bullets that I had over two solid days of reloading. I have 2865 MG 180's, 2631 200 Gr Zero's and 1379 165 gr Zero's all loaded just in case I get to shoot anything in the next year with the impending birth of out first child. It sure beat getting stuck in all the holiday shopping traffic and I have something to show for it. A sore elbow and shoulder
  2. Ok so what is the "Stupid is supposed to hurt" injury. This should be a good one. Looking forward to seeing you at TOT.

You could always do what an IDIOT friend of mine did ESPN. Yepper and his IDIOT wife is excited about it. Middle and last will be with held to protect the innocent.

    Friday Hate Rant

I hate people that say one thing and then do another. Especially when it costs me money!
  5. I was looking on the STI sight this afternoon and saw the new STI Aperio? Has any one seen one of these yet?
  6. Not sure if I registered for SS or Lim but I'll join a SS squad. I am sure that I could talk a couple other people into it as well.
  7. Boz, sorry for your families loss. Your sister and kids will be in our prayers.
  8. Now that is something alright. Think he would let us drive that to SWR this weekend?
  9. I guess what I would like to be able to do now and long term. Now Close ups of baby girl. 1-2 yrs action as she learns to walk and move about. Probably also in this time frame maybe shooting some matches and wildlife. 3-5 yrs continue with baby girl as she gets older, catching events such as beach Disney and possible other travle locations. When I was into photography it was more portrait type work, family friends etc. Now I am looking to maybe get back into that. I like being able to document everday life so lenses would be more important and the speed of the camera. I want to be able to catch as much as I can with one device. I played with both again today and I am leaning towards the Nikon just like the fit and function button locations more than the cannon. I have large hands and stumpy fingers. So I like that I could add the extended battery at some point if needed. The lense that comes with the kit is this one: AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Lens Would that work for the short term? Or is there something that would work better as a "kit" I can get the body for 899.99 and the Kit with lens for 1199.99. Just looking to make the best decission for the short term that will allow me to add more detail etc in the long term. Thanks again for all the advice. John
  10. Thanks everyone, It sounds like whatever I choose will fill the need of better pictures for the soon to be light of my life. I really do appreciate the advice and wisdom that all have shared. Now begins the search for the best deal I can find. That might be the deal maker there. I do have another question both the Nikon and Cannon come with a 15-80 lense. Would I be better off just getting the body and skipping the kit and get a Micro lense and then add a gen purpose lense latter on. I am assuming that for the first couple of months they will mostly be close ups and from what I have read the Micro works better for these types of shots. Thanks again, John
  11. OK I went to the camera store today and I am more confused than before. I would like to get a Digital SLR for the upcoming Baby girl. I have decided that it would be either the Nikon D90 or Cannon D50. I like the way both feel in my hand and the options that they both have. This will mostly be used for taking bragging pics for the grand parents, scrap books and the such. I want something that if I hand it off to the wife she can set in auto and still get better pics than we are getting out of the point and shoots. Does any one out there have any advice? I used to be into photography years ago (mostly film) so I have some clues but still not ready to pull the trigger just yet. Thanks so much, John
  12. That looks cool as all get out.
  13. "you got 4 more fingers"
  14. How are you doing "GOOD"[ Some one please tell me how you do GOOD???
  15. I am a Redskins fan and I agree please make it stop. No offense to any of these teams fans but we have played to many 0-_ what ever teams to be 2-4. This is going to be a very long season especially with the schedule we have remaining. Only joy I have had so far this football season is the beat down the "AINTS" put on the Giants. Loved every minute of it...
  16. I had Carl Schmidt. Great guy kept me on the straight and narrow.
  17. It is a little more difficult doing this on your own but I got so much more out of the rules discussions, the review of the arbitrations and the stage designs than I did when I took the class. Working on your own it really forces you to read the rule book and ask the questions that you need to ask to really understand the rules. This class is the best 60.00 bucks I have ever spent on this sport. As far as the stage design you don't have to be the greatest just need to know the rules to the stage design. It will help you on setting up stages and developing a plan when you step up to a stage because now you will know if something is legal given the stage description and the WSB. Great class great instructor can not say enough good things about all that will be learned from this class.
  18. I got word Friday that I passed my CRO final. I would reccomend that any one that is serious about stage design etc to take this class. I learned a lot from this experience. Thank you, John
  19. Congrats Devon - guess that you get to ride in the front seat on the way to Sir Walter. Can't wait to see that GM card.
  20. Mine was a 78 - 79 CJ5 it was a rust bucket. But it made it through every trail that is in the area at that time. If some one was sitting in the back and it was raining they would get soaked it was not because of the soft top it was from raod spray that would come in through the floor. The map compartment was gone in the floor board of the passengers side. But man I miss that jeep. It had a 6" suspension 3" body lift it sat on 40" DC Fun Country tires with Alcoa rims. It was a beast and yes only got about 3-4 miles per gallon. Once at the beach had a guy on a crotch rocket burn his one little wheel. We hopped out locked the hubs rolled forward about 10 feet dropped the clutch and smoked all 4. Came to a stop and looked over at him and said when you can do that come back and see me.
  21. a 1971 Pontiac Grand Prix paid 500 cash. It was pumpkin orange with a vinyl 1/4 top. Man was that thing UGLY. Only thing cool about it was the TA wheels that were on it. The nick name for the car was the Carriage.
  22. RO class couple of years ago - gave the following command "If you are finished slide forward hammer down" and George Jones starts sliding down range. The funniest thing I have ever seen. And I have never said that command since then. Oh yeah and got done shooting a stage and one of my buddies says "what the hell did you do that for?" Just got to know the guy. Made me laugh.
  23. Filling RF100 kept hearing this sound like something dropping on the table. Huh looked nothing seemed out of place. finished its cycle. pulled out the tube and 100 primers were in the base, and underneath the RF100. Couple of profanities slip my lip and scouped them back up and put them back in the tray. You guessed it the cotter pin was laying beside the bench. That is my Primer DOOOUUUGGGGHHHHH momment.
  24. Dang Dude!! Those shoes are BAD A$$...I may be changing. Those got alot of stability traction and supporting little nubs all over..I like em.., I am a Land Shark guy and I think after some tryin on, I will be changin..Thanks for the Info Dude!! T-VS Yeah they are comfortable. I tend to where them all day at a match from set up to take down and even sometimes to home. Feet don't feel like you have been walking around on pins all day. Never had any issues with them clogging up with mud or sand. I did have to add an arch support in them but have to do that on all my shoes. My land Sharks have been relegated to lawn mowing shoes now.
