  1. Still got the boots Merlin?
  2. Will do... Once I am able to do so...
  3. K I will give my walk through more importance going forward. Yeah my points were great and it was nice not having to worry about make up shots. One guy told me who does not give complements that was the best I have ever shot a plate rack. I have to admitt that all I saw was the site hit each plate and then bang. It was my best run of the day and like hitting the fairway of the 18th hole after a misserable round. Made everything else go away. Also shot a Texas Star 5-5 first time ever. Guess shooting SS did help me focus better on getting my hits. If I ever get sloppy I am going to go back for a month or so.
  4. One thing that I did notice is that when I walked the stage and had a good plan that I could run in my head I did have less tendencies to want to drop a mag when moving. I truly was not blasting away shot most of the stages the same I would have with a SS but I have to get out of the habit of counting 8 then 8 then 8 I need to start breaking down the stage in chunks again once I have all the targets accounted for. So no drills or anything that will help with this other than just developing a solid game plan and sticking to it?
  5. Ok Here is my question? Does any one have a good drill or pratice they did when they changed from SS, Prod, Lim 10 to Lim or Open? This weekend was my first match back with a Lim gun that holds 19 - 20 rounds. I had a couple of stages that as soon as I moved I was dropping a mag with 11 - 12 rounds in it to make a reload. I have been shooting SS for about the last year and when you move you are reloading. There has to be a drill out there some where that some one does that gets them back in the mind set of a Lim shooter. I had a good stage plan and I thought I had it visualized that reload here. But I even found during my walk throughs that I was reloading when transitioning from position to position. With a lot of dry fire practice I finally have trained my body to go to the correct mag location for # 1 mag but not sure what to do about the reloading problems any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, John
  6. Wow that sounds like what happened to my parents house during Hugo. We lost two trees that were dead and needed to be removed but dad was to cheap. Any way storm comes both go down with the first gusts of wind. Both missing the house by less than 3 feet. Most of our neighbors were not so lucky they had major damage to their houses. And to top it all off we had power back in less than 24 hours and cable in 48. There were some people in Charlotte that went weeks with out power. We had people staying with us until damage was fixed or power restored. Yes somet times it is better to be lucky.
  7. Yeah I bought one from Velocity Shooter in the Vendor Tent. It is great I have really enjoyed it. The back pack looks like it will last years. The stool is OK and provides a good frame for the pack.
  8. That is Awesome - Congrats -
  9. Yeah it appears to be kid fest here. Congrats to all the new poppas and mommas out there. All I can say is that this little girl has already gotten me wrapped around her little finger.
  10. Found out yesterday it is a GIRL. We are both very excited and we are now at 19 weeks due date is 12/20 - 12/24 so we are assuming it will be a Christmas baby. Can not wait, got a lot of stuff to do before she comes but it is all good.

  13. I work for one of the companies that started all of this... It is true at least for my company that if you request to speak to an american you will be transfered to a higher skill set of employees but they are still in what ever country you started with they just have better language skills. It is the same if you ask to speak to a supervisor. Now any time I call a 8## number for help I ask for a supervisor immediately. I don't even let them get their process rolling. What takes so much time is that when the call comes in they have to log it into their system the time date person speaking etc. then when they go to transfer the call they have to go through all that again plus state the customer problem before the supervisor can pick up the call. Just be patient and you will/can get to some one that at least can listen to your problem and help some what.
  14. Yeah I know what you mean there are some great deals out there and a couple I almost quit listening to that little voice saying you have a baby coming need to save money.... Man I hope that kid appreciates all I have given up for them

  18. Hey man, I got a bunch of recoil springs that you can try and see which one you want to run. I will bring them with me to Sir Walter if you are there you can get them and let me know which one you are going to keep. Later Tater John Lovell
  19. I took a 1/2 inch thick piece of plastic made it the same size as the holster and drilled three holes into the plastic and painted it black. A lot of people are buying 1/2 inch plastic washers and longer screws and doing it that way. Either seems to work pretty well.

    Little boys

Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a box of tampons and proceeded to the checkout counter. The man at the counter asked the older boy, 'Son, how old are you?' 'Eight', the boy replied. The man continued, 'Do you know what these are used for?' The boy replied, 'Not exactly, but they aren't for me. They're for him. He's my brother. He's four. We saw on TV that if you use these, you would be able to swim, play tennis and ride a bike. Right now, he can't do none of those'.
  22. I have a pair of the Barefeet shoes. they are great for the beach and just messing around the house and yes they are in tactical black. I will never be able to get a gum ball out of the gum ball machine here at work again.
  23. This really is not a Gun story but funny. I worked in a hunting super store for a year before going back to school Our manager was a big guy named Larry. Now Larry holds a couple NC records for hunting with a long bow. Now his long bow draws about 80-85 lbs. no give like a compound bow. Well one night we are all sitting around talking and a customer came up. Big strong dude in great shape along with him is his pretty significant other. Well he takes one look at Larry who is like me a big boy but much rounder and says hell that bow can't be that hard to draw back if you can do it. So Larry hands him the bow and says when you can not draw it back do not let go or I am going to hurt you real bad. So muscle guy draws the bow gets about half way back and starts shaking like it is 30 below zero. Thought he was going to chip a tooth he was shakin so hard. Lets go of the string and says to Larry there is no way in hell that YOU could pull that back. Larry snatches the bow out of the guys hand and goes to full draw holds for 25 seconds and releases. Tells Mr Muscle better be glad I am married or I would snatch that pretty little thing as well. We all had a good laugh about that one and still do when I see him...
  24. I set up three targets and three boxes Box 1 at 25 Box 2 at 15 Box 3 at 7-10 targets are set 2-2.5 feet apart I have started adding hard cover and angleing the targets. two rounds each target then reload in between the last array. yes a stationary reload Start engaging the targets in different orders and only A's count. Usually start slow then start pushing myself. I can make this fun for about 45-60 minutes then off the the plate rack for 30-45 minutes. Then home for cleaning and dry firing. I try and do this once a week live fire and dry every night, following one of Steve Anderson's processes. Hope this helps some one else.
  25. Probably played foosball for USC at some point...
