  1. 170's for start. I like 155's for reloads. 140's are fine too but why not go 155's if you're buying new mags? You get them seated sooner and they carry more ammo.
  2. The Q5 trigger is very good out of the box, and with a little work it can be killer! I dry fired one last weekend that had been tweaked. It was the by far the best striker fired trigger I've ever felt. While it's a tad different than a single action, it was just as good IMO. The Q5 is extremely accurate! I would put it up against any gun! I love CZ's. I've had several. Including an accushadow. They're great! You can't go wrong with either! I'd say, if you have smaller hands the Accushadow might be the way to go. If you have larger hands the Q5SF would be my choice. Both have shorter grips but the Q5SF had a larger circumference. Q5 is going to be easier to take apart, swap parts. Though, the CZ isn't ddifficul. The only downside to the Walther, IMO, is the magwell and the sights. They really missed the a chance to make that gun perfect! I'd swap sights and bevel the magwell a little more. If you ever want to do CO, the Q5 is ready to go.
  3. Yes. All the pros do classes. Several GM's will do some type of teaching as well.
  4. If you're liking it and think you're gonna get serious, I'd suggest taking a class from a solid shooter fairly soon. A lot of the top level folks teach. Very helpful early on. Good luck.
  5. You shoot above that? Pretty impressive.
  6. Aww shi...... If he got the barrels mine should be getting close to starting! I decided to go middy/hybrid. Gonna see what all the fuss is about!
  7. This match is gonna be great. It's gonna be worth a drive for anyonne not in OK!
  8. When I switched my MBF to 9mm JHP, I simply read the instructions and in less than 5 min I had it adjusted. My MBF has never dropped a single bullet upside down. I shoot only MBX mags but I've never had a single feeding issue with PD JHP. I've never tweaked any MBX mag.
  9. PD. I've never seen big pieces like you. I'm sure there may be small specs from time to time.
  10. So you don't want to try another JHP? I can bring you some Sunday.
  11. Bill Wilson was a MA and got beat by an EX that shot more pts but was faster. 2015 AR state. That was it. Never gonna change back. I don't care what anyone says, about it was supposed to be 1 sec from the start. Too many older shooters getting beat by younger faster shooters. The goal now should be to keep the speed with the goal of 0 down. It's the same for everyone. So, speed still matters. Pts down just have more of an impact.
  12. Am I the only one that doesn't care either way? Most people I know that shoot PCC, do so because they get thier butts kicked when they shoot pistols, but I don't care. Let them. Though, I do shoot with a couple that ate pretty stout at PCC! I like watching them tear it up! If it gets more people shooting, that's good IMO! maybe I'm still new enough that I don't see the stages being affected to accommodate them?
  13. I thinkine was more accurate. POI was same. Group was tighter. I'll probably just do a grip job on the gen 3.
  14. Y'all stop sending Don work. I want mine ASAP!
  15. Not gonna lie. When I got my Titan a with a 2lb trigger. I was coming from 6lb DA/SA triggers where you could draw and have your finger in the trigger early. I had several unexpected trigger pulls during my dry fire. Never had a ND in live fire. I would get my finger on the trigger early when live fire. You can't do that with these lighter ones.
  16. Seems a lot of guy's shooting open have 1.5 lb triggers. Why? Seems dangerous. Just wondering My Atlas had a 2lb. I got used to it but eventually tweaked the sear spring to be about 2.5lbs. My new build is probably going to be around 1.5lbs.
  17. I shot a few rounds thru the other day. Just wondering if anyone has shot a lot with the gen 3 upper on the gen 4 lower? I got gen 4 set up for CO. I removed the finger grooves and stippled the grip. My gen 3 upper can go on if I want to shoot irons.
  18. Saying all the above, I would like to try a different shoe. It won't affect my socres at all but I'd like to try one.
  19. This really goes for a lot of non-glocks too! I say this everytime I talk about Glock triggers. Each Glock is different. Just like all guns but I think it's more so with Glocks. Take a magic trigger from whoever and drop it in two different glocks. They'll feel different. I personally buy a reduced power plunger spring, a 4lb or 4.5lb striker spring. I leave the trigger return spring alone. A connector of choice. Polish the right parts. Don't polish the wrong parts. Also, look for any areas in the frame that are going to cause drag. For instance the part on the back rear of the frame. The trigger bar rides between the housing and that part. Run a Q-tip along the vertical ribs. If it snags you got burrs. You can use an X-acto knife to trim that area. Not sure if gen 5 has those. Haven't seen one yet. point is, you can spend a lot of money! I have. You may not like it any more than a home trigger job.
  20. You might be able to just get away with using one at the powder station. Once you get a case in that station it should smooth out the index.
  21. I have one but can't remember who made it. I want to order more. The replace the locator pin. Thanks.
  22. You're getting spillage when loading 9 minor?
