  1. This one was on the Match list and now its not. Is it still on?
  2. I can't get the contact guy from the entry form to call me back. I don't see anything on the form about which days to shoot. Can the match be shot on Sat and Sun? What is the distance of the farthest target, and what size?
  3. Yes, I have that part on my vtac handguard for mounting a front sight. No need for the full length top rail if you just want to mount a front sight. I did double check the part # at jprifles.com.
  4. What is the size of the center dot in the meopta kdot?
  5. I always prefer a prize table by order of finish. Having a decent prize set aside for the winners of each class and the prize table by order of finish seems like a fair compromise.
  6. Can you shoot steel pistol targets(ar400) with 223 at long range? Say 400, 450, or possibly 500 without damaging it?
  7. Tom, Is it two seperate matches this year, or is the Steel Challenge combined with the practical steel match like last year?
  8. Just scheduled 36hrs of vacation so I can make it. There are very few matches I am willing to use that much vacation time for.
  9. I am thinking about getting into some major 3 gun matches. I have a burris xtr 1-4x. I will be shooting tactical class. I was wondering if the jp short range sights would be beneficial at times when you don't want to take the time to adjust the scope power. Or would they almost never be used?
  10. Does the bobbed hammer improve ignition and decrease the trigger pull weight, or do you use the jp springs to decrease the trigger pull weight and then bob the hammer for better ignition with the reduced springs? Someone please help me understand this before I start monkeying with my triggers.
  11. Any opinions on how the Mr bulletfeeder would work on a xl650 using 55gr semi-wadcutter 40 cal Bear Creek moly bullets.
  12. Can you still get the STI rail frame in aluminum?
  13. yes, its a 10 round mag cut down to fit the box. I did not see it on the website. How do you get them, and how much are they? Thanks.
  14. Is the system mag different than the 9rnd 10mm mag on the Tripp website?
  15. The frame was given to me. I think it was designed to be a drop in fit. It will probably work as is, just a little loose, but I was hoping I could have it custom fit.
  16. I was hoping that others had more meat than STI. How much is the railing?
  17. I have a new 1911 frame, but new STI slides fit the frame fairly loose. Do the different brands of slides come with different sized rails? Are there other brands with thicker rails than the STI?
  18. Try the aluminum guide rod compared to the tungsten before you chop off the dust cover. It is not the trend, but some of us prefer the extra frame weight.
  19. I see the results are posted on the Pasa site, but individual stages are not listed. Is there anyway we can get results for each stage and what each stage was?
  20. Phil, Did you decide what size the 4 60yrd poppers will be? Thanks.
  21. Does anyone know if we will be able to practice (at least the steel challenge stages) on Friday?
  22. 4.9gr S1000 930 FPS for 167.4 PF That's cuttin' it a might close for me. Primers and brass looked good , going to add one more tenth of grain. The good news has been the faster I push this bullet the more accurate it gets. Went to 5.0 grains today with the same 180MG. Things got quirky. Velocity did not go up in Linear fashion. Also got some large spreads (lo 868 hi 954). Brass still looked good ,but I may abort this project and go to a safer more consistent powder. But I may make one more range trip with this load just to be sure it wasn't chrono maddness, as it was cloudy today. I believe with lead or black bullets , 4.7 would have been good. I have been using solo 1000 for a while now. I bet at 5.0gr with your oal you are slightly compressing the powder which is causing the erratic chrono results. I had this problem when loading 125gr jacketed 9mm rounds, 135gr molys. I could not make minor without compressing the load. Use your caliper to measure how much space is left in the case, and then how much of the bullet is being pushed into the case
  23. So will the 60 yrd poppers be full size poppers? I will have to practice that.
  24. For that price I'll buy it if you don't. If you don't buy it IM me please, and help me get in touch with the seller. Thanks.
