I am loading 9mm minor with wst and 135gr moly bullets. If I chrono a load at 50 degrees that makes 134pf, how much pf should I expect to lose at 80 or 90 degrees? I want to load up a bunch of rounds this winter for use in spring and early summer.

I was about to fall out with a couple stages to go, but luckily some nice guy from another squad saw I was having issues and gave me a gatorade. I really don't think I would have made it without it. I had run out of gatorade just after lunch, but was drinking tons of water. Funny thing is the last few stages were my best of the day. You probably remember, we shot together and shot within one plate of each other for the day.

The pro am is what I need them for. That will be a lot cheaper than buying extra 140mm mags. I will give that a try. Thank you.

I am trying to find an extension for my 126mm sti 9mm mags. I don't need any extra rounds, I just want to make them longer so I can reload them easily while using a DP ice magwell. Any suggestions?

I have not had such good luck. I have only shot 3 or 4 thousand, and have had two primers that would not go off. At this point I would be afraid to use them for a major match. I have 15,000 on hand and will use them for practice. I will keep buying them as long as they are cheaper, but will save the Winchesters for major matches. For me they run about 2pf more than Winchester sp.

I am experimenting with wst for 9mm minor. I loaded up some at 4.1 gr with a bear creek 135gr moly bullet w/oal of 1.17. It made about 131pf out of my 2011. I didn't see any pressure signs. Should I be worried?

Bummer, I don't have a production gun or a single stack gun.

If you win a gun based on your performance it will always be something special to you. If you win the same gun in a random draw, it's just another gun. I didn't shoot the Indiana Sect this year because it is random draw. It just takes the excitement out of it. For those who say it's about the shooting. Isn't it more important to be able to perform when the stakes are high.

You barely made minor with clays. What kept you from making more pf. Were you seeing pressure signs, or did you not want to go higher than the max grain recomendation? What gun were you using? I have been thinking of trying Clays for minor. Thanks.

How much difference could this make. Is it enough to offset 1 or 2 pf difference?

Does anyone know what powder Vogel is using for the precision bullets?

The rounds are stopping before they hit the extractor. This happened at the Il Sectional, and I had just removed and cleaned the extractor and tunnel(I always do this before any major match). I missed winning Limited by 8/10ths of a percent, 5 points. Probably about what the jam cost me. I had a shock buff in it previously, but decided it ran smoother without it. Maybe I should shorten my rounds a bit more to say about 1.17. That sounds a bit short to me for a 2011, but is it possible that my gun just prefers a shorter oal. Bkeeler- One of my grip screws was a little loose. I just removed them and locketited them. Hopefully that was at least part of the problem. I see you are near St Louis, do you shoot at Arnold, or Benchrest? You guys have been helpful. Any other thoughts? I want to get this thing running right before the MO Fall Classic.

I am having rare ftf in my 40 2011. The bullet will hit the feed ramp and stop. It does not happen very often, but it is always at the wrong time. It seems to happen when I am using mags with dawson followers, but not with standard sti followers. I never had this problem with my other 40. I am loading to an oal length of 1.185. I am wondering if I should try loading to a shorter oal. I can shoot several thousand rounds in practice and it will never happen, and then it will happen at a major match. Any suggestions?

Can anyone list which top shooters at the Limited Nationals used 6" guns?

If solo 1000 had been available in bulk would you have chosen it, or were the two pretty equal? I am having good luck with solo 1000 in 40, but I'm finding it has a little too much volume to make minor with some bullets in 9mm. At least through my 9mm 2011.

I believe they give me a little better accuracy, a little less smoke, and my gun should run a little cleaner and therefore be a little more reliable. I guess I should just get some n320 to run with the jacketed bullets, or would the ramshot comp be about as good with jacketed?

I read through the thread. I have been using solo 1000. I love it in 40,but I have one problem in 9mm. I am shooting a 2011 in 9mm. I am using Winchester small pistol primers. It works well with 125gr and 115gr precision bullets, but when I tried it with mg 124 cmjs I can't make minor without compressing the load, and this was at a 1.16 OAL. When the load was compressed a little to make pf the accuracy went. I had the same problem when trying to load some 135gr bear creeks (1.17 OAL 3.7gr/ made 122pf). I didn't try to compress this load, but I don't want to. Any suggestions? I at least need something to use with the cmjs for major matches, that has a similar feel to the solo 1000. Thanks.

Thinking of trying ramshot competition for 9mm minor. I would be using it with jacketed and moly bullets mostly 125s. Is this a good powder for 9 minor at about 130pf?

Anybody using Ramshot Competition for 9 minor. I am thinking about trying it with 125gr molys. Any opinions on this combination. I would also like to use it with some 124 mg cmjs.

4th Limited. 1st A. Doncha just love it when a "b" shooter beat masters and As to win? Yawn... baggers. He said he is an A shooter in Limited 10, so that makes me feel a little better. He beat me by 8/10ths of a percent. I believe the jam on stage 6 lost it for me. Should have had my mags tuned by HSmith.

Double check your match scores. I found a mistake on mine. They gave me 2 mikes on stage 11 that were supposed to be Cs. It jumped me up to 99.2% for limited. So close! They are supposed to be changing it for me.

I'm getting anxious for the results. Anybody hear anything yet? Darren, you should have come and shot with us Saturday. Are you going to shoot Rolla?
