  1. How about the MD use the actual rule, you know, the way that it is written? The MD should never need to explain how "he" is going to enforce a certain rule. If we still have subjective enforcement of something as simple as moving and reloading, the tigers have failed.
  2. It's just a trigger job. Don't waste your time or money with the big dogs. Send a PM to Spence1300 (Ryan Spencer) in Milan, MI. He does great work.
  3. I've heard that they needed to make up this rule because they eliminated the round dumping rule, which no one EVER called a PE for, and because they added that "cover goes to infinity".. They didn't want people moving behind "infinite" cover and reloading.
  4. I've seen this rule in action, too. It is as dumb as it sounds. Thanks tigers! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!
  5. I see this type of response when a person feels the need to defend a poor decision that they've made. Often, the person feels embarassed and they emotionally adhere to their poor decision, regardless of facts and data.
  6. According to IDPA HQ, there will be no printed rule book. If that's the case, I'm not sure what our dues are paying for? Some have said that our dues may pay for airplane fuel. I don't think this is the case.
  7. Where does it say that? The rule only states that the firearm must fit in the box that measures 8 ¾” x 6” x 1 5/8”.
  8. I was there for the RO walk through and going through the door wasn't required. I watched people on every squad go around the wall. Game-ughs gonna game!
  9. After reading this thread, I have determined two things: 1. BillR1 is the greatest troll ever. 2. BillR1 was on the Tiger Teams Well done, on both accounts,Sir!.
  10. The website money went towards airplane fuel. You guys are just haters.
  11. Sandbag, dude. Collect as much wood as you can. IDPA trophies are the $hit. Plus they award them to 10th place.
  12. When does a shooter every use all 11 rounds before getting to cover? Never.
  13. Not going to flame, no point in that. But IDPA HQ has already said that clubs may begin using the new rules early. Why not get used to something that is coming anyway. Otherwise it would be like dropping the speed limit from 55 on the highway to 40 with no warning or grace period. Did notice that instruction anywhere. Yeah, when did HQ say this? Was is on the super easy to navigate IDPA website? If so, I must've missed it. Shocking, huh?
  14. My dues should esily cover the cost of a printed rule book. However, I have a feeling that most of the membership dues pay for airplane fuel.
  15. 97% It took about 45-50 minutes.
  16. The overlay is for the benefit of every shooter. We all want the correct score. The overlay is used to help determine that score. I am not sure why the IDPA BOD chose not to listen to the members, especially since they asked for our input.
  17. Comp-Tac sponsors IDPA, so anything they make is good to go. IDPA tends to bend the rules for sponsors gear and such. Heck, just look at the Competitive Concealment vests. I use mine for all of the shooting games. Great product!
  18. Bill, This is the overlay that we are talking about. They are small and easy to use. I photographed this one on a 1/3 size USPSA target that I use for dry fire, so the size may be decieving. It is actually the same size as a credit card. I didn't want you to think that we were discussing something that needed to be filled with fuel, kick started and driven to the bay by someone with a CDL. Using an overlay doesn't slow down a match at all. All of the competitors appreciate the use of overlays to determine the actual score that was earned. I wish that IDPA had included these in the new RB, but they may have been excluded because they were considered too "IPSC-y". Who knows?
  19. I shoot for fun too, Bill. I just want competitors to get the scores that they earn. An overlay helps accomplish this.
  20. "Just shoot better and it won't matter." Wow! This is the mentallity of a career IDPA shooter. IDPA will never be a legit shooting sport until it recognizes that it is a shooting sport.
  21. Harden up! Just embrace the suck and deal with it. I have had some very enjoyable matches and practice sessions in some horrific weather conditions. On the bright side, it is IDPA, so you won't be dropping mags in the mud.
  22. This match was very challenging. Lots of hard cover that required aiming. Stages were great. The staff was very nice too. Many competitors made favorable comments regarding the three gentlemen from Michigan that were running stage #1 "Swingers".** You should have them back next year and give them a raise. Thank you to all of the staff, competitpors and sponsors that made this match possible. When does the app come out for BITB V? What...too soon? **This comment may be complete bullshit.
