  1. Basic doesn't mean crappy. A Glock 35, bladetech holster and mag pouches. It may be poor boy, but it will shoot better than you can. You can obtain world class skills using basic stuff, just ask David S. "...safe, reliable and accurate enough..." If you are going full race then by all means, go full race, top of the line, but it won't make you a better shooter. It might just help hide you some of your weaknesses.
  2. As long as they have one in each hand I dont' have a problem with it Besides, I'm sure the extra $ is good for the club, but they should only get scored for 1 gun in each class. I regularly shoot two gun in different classes, my fancy rig and a rig that looks like any average joe. I do this so people can't claim it is the gear that make the shooter, and they see that you can spend little $ and shoot fast too.
  3. I wholeheartedly disagree with tightloop. I think the most basic gear would do them better if they spent the $ on training instead. For a couple thousand K you could get some great training about what you real should be working on to reach your potential. ps. Some of the big dawgs use stuff because they get PAID to and they get things for free.
  4. 15% is about my guess also, sometimes 10% if the targets are close.
  5. Steve you are so right. We shot a steel match Saturday and I shot it with my super duper SVI .40 and then with a HK USP with uncle mikes mag pouches (cloth) and a blade tech hoslter. This was the second time I had shot the gun. I shot each stage an average of 15% slower with the HK (good enough for 2nd place to my 1st with my .40.) After thousands of $'s I wish I would have just bought a stock pistol in 9mm and more ammo. I would have gotten where I am much faster.
  6. My new motto. "Just shoot it" Nothing else really matters when at a match. If I worry how I "shoot it" (fast, slow) I tend to screw it up. When I just shoot what I see I do much better.
  7. I've know a couple guys that have had them. He builds a good gun.
  8. ROFL!!! Rhino, you can always try the Phillapino vesion of girl 18.0 I heard they are a bit costly and only last 6 months to a year I am very happy with my new Girlfriend 10.0 with the Loves Guns mod 4.5 If it keeps perforing "as is" I might have to pitch in for the Wife 2.0 upgrade
  9. I have a friend who tried it twice. The first he found out later was writting 50 or so guys, each sending her $25-100 per month (about what he was sending) for family emergencies and the like, he later found out. That's about $2500 a month. He later "imported" a "model" he like better, but after she got legalized, she disappeared. Just my 2 cents, but look in the mirror. Chance are if you like what you see, someone else will to. If you don't, fix up yourself the best you can. Selfish relationships seldom ever work. So to find yourself a princess you must first become thier prince. If that is too much, just remember (Eddie Murphy impression) "HALF!!!"
  10. I don't think any of that stuff really matters in a SS. Give me a good trigger, Bomars, mags that work, a checkered front strap and I'm happy. I wouldn't invest in a SS just to shoot L10. I would rather spend the $$$ on ammo and match fees and download my limited gun.
  11. Read "the Book" and feel the trigger. You must learn to pull the trigger without disturbing the sights.
  12. Just my 2 cents - In Oregon you can sell to private party with no identification, no nothing. I see no need to get the government involved unless you have to have your gun registered to you in the state you live. If you have to have the gun registered to you then, consider a new state. "Don't ask, don't tell" didn't Clinton say that?
  13. Man would I pay a lot for a human version of that sometimes!!! :) Duct tape
  14. IMO - It makes it soft, but sluggish. The gun takes to long to recover for me, you might like it though, if you can get one out of Beven. I have been "on the list" for a couple years and finally found one to try from a buddy. I really like the shape and the way it reloads, but the weight wasn't for me.
  15. I find if I bring the gun high to my face look, at the adjustment knob, and push the gun strait out, I have no problems finding the dot. It usually is a tad low in the glass, but it is there most all the time.
  16. I almost bought one, but think that a video of your movement and set up is more useful for training purposes than the 1st hand shooter point of view.
  17. Dang, to think I had the right movie and wrong brother
  18. I can't shoot with two eyes either, but it doesn't really matter. I use black tape instead of transparent tape because it just creates a "blind" spot were the front site is and is less distracting for me than the transparent.
  19. If an RO says, "Stoke it up", "go ahead", "load up", I always ask politely do you mean "load and make ready?" This usually works, if it were an immediate beep after stand by, I would not draw and ask for a restart also. I think it is the proper thing to do.
  20. Not exactly We were just too tired to do anything else at that point. You can close this one now
