  1. The feet stance depends on how your sites line up. Close your eyes and move them back and forth until your sights line up perfectly automatically.
  2. I've retrieved loaded pistols out of drawers, briefcases, boxes, toolboxes and never seen anyone have any problems doing this any safer than drawing from a holster in awkward situations (ie sitting in a chair). I think all that Honk Kong saki and sushi must be making ole Vincent a bit soft
  3. Prepare for some "flaming" .... I think you will find that most everyone here will disagree with you and will tell you how important it is to ALWAYS handle by the book, NO EXCEPTIONS. There are other threads outhere where the issue of how to handle as an RO are extensively discussed, quite recently even. Actually, if he started to walk away from the gun, as the RO I would have issued a verbal comand, such as, "Stop!!! You don't want to get to far away from that blaster of yours or I will be forced to DQ you per the rulebook " I think these type of DQ's are avoidable if the RO keeps on top of things.
  4. Ok, if you can hole in 1 17 you are a GOD at this game.
  5. You can make self reseting plates with a heavy springs and rebar, or just weld them to a piece of flat bar stock with legs to keep them from tipping over.
  6. I wouldn't get A/B zone target, I would get 8" steel plates instead. I have A zone steel targets and don't find they are that good for practice. The shape is weird and it doesn't translate very well to what you see when you shoot a match.
  7. How many revolvers are there in the average USPSA competition? I think if you look at what USPSA does to involve revolver shooters you might sing a different tune considering the tiny number of people who actually shoot them in USPSA. It probably isn't even financially viable to support the division. If they aren't competive in limited class (how many people will even set up 9 shot arrays) then don't use them. There are very few guys who could even come close to semi-auto reloads with a wheel gun. If you want a guarantee to get an award in our area, show up with a revolver. If you want to play with a wheel gun, then fine, but please don't complain when the rules aren't tailered to your choice of firearm and instead to majority of guns that play in a particular division.
  8. If I couldn't have a SVI I would shoot a Tangfolio. They can be set up very nice. The only problem is getting someone to set it up for you right.
  9. If you can't find a place to reload that won't cost you any time in a stage with 20 or more rounds you really need to work on your reloads.
  10. If 1.7 sucks then you suck better than most.
  11. Hmm, I use the small case feeder also, it seems to work better for me.
  12. They are as drop in as it gets, but you need the "new" springs also.
  13. AWESOME, Beven is the man!!! This is one purchase that is a no brainer.
  14. QUOTE from Eric Warren today Policy or political discussions of any kind are not welcome. Such as IPSC verses IDPA debates, for example. Including but not limited to: governmental, USPSA, IPSC, or IDPA. (from benos' forum guidelines) Is this another political statement Eric? Beware you might get locked Someone might get the impression that you are part of the Kaliban and anti-liberation of Iraq supporter
  15. It is a joke, not real, some people happen to find things funny that would never happen. If you've had a cat scratch your new Corvette (as my dad did) you might find some humor in a car that could take revenge. I am not saying I would wish the cat decapitated in real life, but this is TV folks, we can do things on TV we wouldn't do in real life or want done. I know many people who have wanted to off a obnoxious cat or two, but never would, this feeds that fantasy in a non-violent manner. I don't think it matters that it is a cat, dog, squirrel, or whatever animal, it is a very clever idea. The gal I sent it was totally shocked in horror when she saw it, then about 5 minutes later she was laughing her butt off. If you are of the "sensitive" type maybe I can see being offended, maybe I am just a insensitive @ss, or maybe becuase it is because I was raised on a farm and I've seen much worse happen in real life, but I think it was funny as anything I've seen in a long time.
  16. My whole office was rolling laughing
  17. It takes the moly off and it makes a mess of your tumbling media in short manner
  18. Frank Garcia puts a good class on also.
  19. I belive that is 6 upper a/b zone hits in 6 seconds at 25 yards(Frank's quote) which, believe it or not is easier for me than body A's, the target is more defined. Body A's at 50 aren't worth the time you end up aking to try to get them at 50. C's are fine at 50 IMO. If I break good center of mass shots I get as good of a score as trying for the A, the splits are faster and more consistant also.
  20. Just because one guy is currently dominating the division with a G34, doesn't make it the G34 division. If you look at the top finishes at the last two factory gun nationals, you'll see that the G34 isn't an exclusive. We've had Para LDAs, XDs, Berettas, Sigs and a CZ make the top 8. However, if we lift the 10 limit, then it will more so become the G34 divsion. Lift the 10 round limit AND allow major scoring, then the only competitive guns will be the G35 or the LDA .40. Yea, the guys to get paid to shoot other guns because they are in the best in the world can be competetive with the guns they get paid to shoot. They don't need a Glock to get close to Dave, now if they shot Glocks too, maybe Dave would be nervous
