  1. Take a punch and knock the spacer out....voila.. instant 10mm mag.
  2. Shiiiiiiiiiii...... I believe it, my '97 VW Golf has 252k on it...still on the original engine, transmission, and clutch. I finally had to rebuild the front suspension at 225k.
  3. My pin wouldn't budge, beat the living @#$K out of it....I bought a .22 conversion kit and will steal the SuperSight off it.
  4. Ben Stoeger had one of his high round count Berettas lose a piece in about the same place....I think he ended up shooting it some more as it still grouped well.
  5. So, it is supposed to be a single pin, and my pin is broken in two pieces? The sight is not labeled "LPA" unlike the sight on my .40 Match. It has one spring applying upward pressure to the sight vs. 2 on the LPA marked sight, if that makes a difference.
  6. After shooting the MS Classic this weekend, while cleaning my gun tonight and installing a new front sight I noticed that the sight appeared crooked, but it was the rear that was out of kilter. Upon inspection I thought that the pin holding the front of the rear sight had moved, but then realized that it is not one pin, but two. I can't removed the other pin to measure it. SURELY, I can find something to replace the pin, instead of buying another sight.... Anyone else have experience with this?
  7. Major PF? Clays is really not the best powder. Even loading long, it can be a bit of a gamble. If you like case head separations, go for it.
  8. The Lee CLassic Turret Press is awesome, as long as you aren't shooting alot. It's a very versatile piece..the one I have is mounted on a board so I can quickly change its location, such as taking it to the range to develop loads on the spot. I've replaced mine as my main press with a Hornaday LNL AP. Slop? The turret tops out at the same place every time. I never loaded a squib with the press as it really lets you pay attention to each and every round. I've got to get my setup as a dedicated .223 press, or any other low volume caliber for me. I think its a great press, and having 4 stations is a plus.
  9. One thing I have noticed when using SOLO 1000, the numbers are pretty close to the weight in grains of the charge.
  10. ...That's incredibly stupid..they should at least measure CCs or something.
  11. the new design Mec-Gar mags are supposed to be good to go.
  12. They don't seem to make much sense because the settings on the "thimble" that turns only has markings from 1 to 5????? I don't understand.
  13. BBIs run very clean for me. I love the 130gr 9mm. I had terrible trouble with leading (molying?)with the Precision Bullets, even running a recommended power.
  14. stick with the Match and buy some more ammo/ components and practice....unless you just have to have a Production gun.
  15. still need 9x21 brass?? I should be at Old Fort on Sat, and I'll bring what I have if you are going to be there.

  16. Of course, I jinxed myself and had some issues today, I could only load to 18 without nose dive issues....I found that my sizing die wasn't adjusted right to size the whole case.
  17. I usually only load 20 in the mag, but when I have to have 22 in the gun, it works every time.
  18. I've never had a problem with the Grams guts +.40 or 10mm mags. I load over 1.185 and use a U-die.
  19. Might want to take a good hard look at your barrel and look for any dull looking spots in the bore.... post cleaning. After shooting through 1000 Precisions, I will never buy any more of those bullets.
  20. ...uhhh...not so sure they are stainless. I fubared a barrel with the h2o2 cleaning method...and don't use Precision Black bullets unless you really love cleaning out some of the massive build up they leave behind, even with a "lead safe" powder like Solo 1000. I have run BBI bullets with no problems, though.
  21. So, will it make weight for CDP? I know my 9mm Match is kinda of porky, and adding a magwell would push it over the 43oz mark. The .40 Match I have is lighter... I got my EAA Pro 45acp and it works great. After sighting it in, it grouped shots really well. I have put 400 rnds of every type of 45 ammo I have and no jams. Also a plus was the fact that my EAA 40cal mags also work in it with the 45 ammo. Which saved me a few bucks buying extra mags.I will add a few things from Hennings custom parts to lighten the double & single action trigger. Recoil was about what you would expect from a 45, but very managable. Bobboo
