  1. From the Production Super Squad. Dave S. and Tony Hawkins, Glock 34 Bob V. Glock 35 Max Michel, Matt Mink, Angus Hobdell, Chuck Anderson CZ75 SP-01 Dave Olhasso .40 XD Doug Koenig and Steve Moneypenny S&W M&P in 9mm Ernest Langdon S&W M&P in .45!! Minor!!
  2. That's because you have to look waaayyyyy down the page to find my name. I thought I could pull off a Nationals with my first child, (a daughter, Jessie look out ) being born the Monday before. I was way wrong. No mental game at all and just plain slow on everything. I ended up shooting through our last three stages and getting home last night to be with family.
  3. Do you have any suggestions as to who this private enterprise entity might be? If they are out there we could let them try their hand with a putting on a nationals and achieve the same goals. Charles Bond You mean like a private entity hosting two pistol nationals in 2006 and 2007 and a Multi Gun Nationals in a couple weeks. I think that would be USSA and they have done a great job, even with this years horrible weather for the last several months. By 2011 this place is gonna rock.
  4. Not very. Vogel still has the lead on our squad, although Matt's putting up some great times. As far as Max's gun the safety didn't work. Not sure why it is an issue on a Production gun. They sent him to the gunsmith (Angus) and he had the part swapped out in about a minute. No worries at all. I don't think I've ever been more wet at a match than this morning. Some of the steel target bases were submerged. The steel does seem to be working great. I had one reshoot on a stage where the RO stopped me after my second hit in the calibration circle on the popper. The base had sunk way into the mud. Only steel I've seen not go down. Olhasso had one drop with about 1/8 of the bullet on the edge.
  5. The WS brings in about 400K in entry fees and additionally all the sponsors give cash as opposed to prizes. I'm guessing at least another 100K roughly. You can put alot of match on for a half million dollars without USPSA having to kick any in. I'm surprised that the host region has to give any money at all. I wouldn't expect that smaller regions like Ecuador, Bali and South Africa would have a huge surplus of money sitting around.
  6. If memory serves the US had about 125 of the 900+ slots.
  7. Trust me, I've seen him shoot and the 3 second reloads would kill him. He needs to do so many We're probably going to do an ICORE match at Albany next year so I'll see if I can drag the lad out. Of course that's assuming my Pinnacle ever shows up.
  8. Please note that grip includes the front and backstrap, not just where the wood panels are. I caused a little bit of a headache at the Michigan match with my tape on the front and backstraps of CZ's.
  9. Told me!?!? I've shot with you guys before. I spend enough time keeping him from groping me and we both know you're the better looking dude. And sorry Phil but Mike paid me to say it and he scares me more than you.
  10. Mike I can see making a great show at the match. I'm not sure about his lovable goofball sidekick Phil though. As far as Mink goes I predict he's going to spend too much time fending off Angus' roaming hands to be much of a threat this year.
  11. Go with whatever one fits your hand better. I've shot both and they both work great. If you're getting a 21 SF with the ambi release, make sure you try one first. My grip interferes with the right side release. I ordered mine with the older style mag release and the one I've tried are great. Since you're looking at HM there is no capacity difference that matters.
  12. The closest comparison would be between the Glock 22 and 35 since they are both polymer guns, or the XD and XD Tactical. Personally I would go with the longer gun in .40. I prefer the 17 in 9mm over the 34, but for the .40, it's a different critter. The 35 seems to point about the same, the grip is same for sure, but there is less flip with it than the 22. The 22 just seems to torque alot for me.
  13. I have seen a camo mag pouch questioned by an MD. We were selling one in Digital camo and the MD told the guy not to buy it because it wouldn't be allowed under USPSA rules. Still don't agree with it and that was the only time that has ever come up.
  14. Yep, FNH ran a promotion, or it may have even been a cataloged model of one of their tactical shotguns with the Aluminum C-More's mounted. A lot of dealers took them off the guns, sold the guns without them (for about the same price) and resold the sights to CDNN and maybe another vendor or two. They should be knew and unfired for the most part.
  15. I've seen it chronoed out of two separate guns at 1350-1400 fps and the guns were substantially damaged. As in slides not able to be retracted and the magazines blowing out the bottom of two different Glock 22's. My guess is there are some wildly different loads in some of the guns. I've also talked to several different officers from other agencies shooting 155's who've received similar results, 1300+ fps velocity. Not sure why, don't know if the powder is detonating instead of burning in some rounds or what. I just know there is no chance I'm ever putting a 155 into any gun I own.
  16. There is some ridiculously hot 155 gr ammo out there. The SXT ammo that CDNN is selling has destroyed two Glocks that I know of and runs about the same speed. If the ammo is going almost 1400 feet per second, it's clearly loaded wrong. Stop using it, it's unsafe. Either destroy the ammo or call Federal and see if they'll replace it. The gun you're using isn't designed to handle ammo that hot. It could be unlocking early and sending gas into the mag or the whole gun could be flexing too much. I asked one of Federal's reps about the SXT ammo and he said there is no +P spec for .40 so there is no way it should be that hot.
  17. I would imagine that some of the features from the 21SF are going to be showing up on other models at the SHOT Show this year. Ambi mag releases definitely and potentially smaller frames as well. Best guess is Glock will start with the 17/34 and 22/35 followed by the rest of the models. So it might not be a bad idea to get some clarification so the instant their available we can all run out and buy the very latest.
  18. And in case he's wondering if it has the minimum number made. I talked to a Glock rep at the beginning of the month. He said they've sold over 10K already.
  19. Area 1 is tentatively scheduled for the end of June. 3 or 4th weekend. We're hoping to have it firmed up soon.
  20. Just FYI, there is no box at all for Production, IPSC or USPSA. And at the larger IPSC events they do check your gun, including trigger pull tests. They don't in USPSA because there is no limit. At most of the larger matches the RO's will check for illegal parts, and the gun is looked over at the Chrono.
  21. I sent the question, as well as a couple others to clarify to John Amidon. I'll let you know when I hear back.
  22. He posted earlier in the thread. He's on this forum.
  23. I'm pretty sure that no CCF Race Frames are going to be allowed to compete in GSSF. Gotta use a Glock receiver at a minimum.
  24. The poppers will be forward falling but Action Target has fixed them with a new design. Much better and more reliable. Those little suckers killed me last year but I've seen the new modification and it's pretty cool. Should work 100%.
