  1. Anyone having trouble signing up for 2013? When I click on semi-pro, it keeps asking me to pick a series before I can proceed.
  2. I wonder if theyre going go change it to Tac Optics only, since I dont think any of the top finishers this year actually competed in TO? That was one of the questions I asked him. Some of the Top 25 did shoot all TO, but many did not. I'm happy for everybody that made it and I wish them the best of luck in the open match. Congrats also to the top 4 who get to have a shoot off. One of my teammates and I discussed doing some division hopping next year if it is still allowed. We decided we are going to stick with TO only (which is what we did this year) because if you make the Pro tour you will have to shoot TO only anyway. So, we decided that if we can't make the top 25 by shooting TO only in the Semi Pro, then how in the hell could we compete with the Pro's? We might make it to the open match, but only to have our ass kicked from there on. I agree, this is why I stuck with TO.
  3. In the long run it doesnt matter. You are just going to be donating it to Rustin, Don, and Jared!!!! They have smoked it the last two years!!!
  4. Im not sure as I have never seen that. Dont get to wrapped up in it. You can sign up day of the event and it may change anyway.
  5. If one gun has an optic and its not a rifle, its the open gun. Bottom line is almost every team ran an open shotgun (more rounds, no optic) or an open rifle (bipod, optics, etc). Every team ran a TO or open rifle (except for that crazy M249 SAW!!!).
  6. Agreed, shotgun is the ticket on the open gun.....if you have to reload, you are hosed.
  7. I clean them once a year whether they need them or not. If it wont run dirty, I dont want it as a competition or duty gun. I always shoot them before I put them away after cleaning. The only maintenance I perform through the year is lube.
  8. Kurt, usually you can have one open gun on the team. One guy shoots rifle, one pistol, and one shotgun. thats how they have done it in the past.
  9. I have a 42 and a 52. The feed lips split on the 42 and caused me much grief. I emailed Tripp and asked them about a replacement body. I also said I was willing to pay for it even though I had only had the mag for a less than a year. No answer after 6 months so I made my own mag body and it seems to work so far, but I am still afraid to try it in a match. In my opinion, the surefire is a better deal.
  10. Ken, you may ant to check the dates on the entry form. Still says 2012.
  11. I like the 24". My tube still sticks past the barrel. i think its only a problem at BRM3G where you have to plug it.
  12. I used to compete with a Glock and carry a 1911. I was doing some CCW practice one day and forgot to take the safety off the 1911. It was an eye opener for me and I started carrying a Glock.
  13. I use Dillon Carbide and havent had a problem.
  14. Dam!!!! That must be what happened to me and my daughters rifle in TX. It only happened once or twice, but I couldnt nail it down.
  15. I would like to know examples please so I dont attend thse matches.
  16. A lot of outlaw 3 gun matches are trending towards stage DQ's.
  17. I run a 300 yard zero on my swarvo. It allows me to shoot 100-200 with just a low hold and the close stuff is on. It has helped me immensely.
  18. This was my favorite match of the year. The RO's were professional and always in a good mood, despite the long hours and cold weather. The prize table was the best I have seen in a long time. Remington and everyone else really went all in on this one. At 31st place I still had about 10 guns to choose from. I am not a fan of stage guns but they all ran great and were fun to shoot (full auto rocks!!!). The stages were fast and fun. Couldnt ask for anything more!!! Dates for next year please!!!!
