  1. I have a picture of a 3 shot group my 13 year old daughter shot with one of Chris Patty's AR15's. It measured .5275........Did I mention it was shot at 300 yards ?????? The picture is on CPWSA facebook page.
  2. XM193 is horrible on steel. There is a reason MGM will void their warranty if targets are shot with it. Green tip does a helluva lot less damage.
  3. FTDR is one of the reasons most of dont shoot silly games like IDPA. If that crap starts up in outlaw 3 gun, Im hanging up my guns. Its no different than those of us who shot 3 or 4 plates off the star with one hot load. Part of the game. You want people to make a concentrated effort to shoot those small slugs??? make it a 20 second penalty, but dont tell me I failed to do right. Its my money being paid to shoot the match......
  4. I used to carry a 223 round in my pocket for just this situation. My bolt handle fell off my benelli all the time before I went with a nordic. The 223 round allowed me to rack the shotgun if I lost my handle.
  5. I think what my tired , overworked friend is trying to say here is, "Great job to everyone. Thanks for coming out and spending the weekend with us. We hope you enjoyed shooting the match as much as we did putting it in." :-)
  6. I wrote the rules for this match 4 years ago. I hate to say "wrote it" but it was plagarized from DPMS. You are correct there JJ. I too believe it should be 5 seconds for one hit. I think it was more an oversight than anything. All of the other matches that use IMA have the one hit 5 second and no hit 10 second penalty.
  7. The prize table was pretty sick!!! The stages were very fun and very fast. There were no impossible shots for any skill level (ask my daughter!!). I hated stage 7, but still had fun with it!!! Only critique I would have for next year is bino's for the RO's and get rid of the autopoppers. Too much breakage and to hard to call hits with the naked eye. By the time we shot stage 3 on Sunday we were down to 3 autopoppers and two of them were bent nearly in half. This made a small target a lot smaller!!! I cant wait until next year. Squad 4 was the heat. We had 3 of the top 5 TO and the HO winner. Always a great group to shoot with.
  8. How was hitting the star just right lucky??? What type of ammo did you use? Did you use your normal load or something hotter? It is the same thing as changing chokes to save you movement time on a long shotgun shot. Its all part of breaking down the stage and figuring outt what works best. Get in touch with your inner gamer!!!
  9. Very interesting. Care to expound? I would have thought seeing others run a stage first might reveal "aha" moments. By going first it makes you look for those aha moments instead of just following becuase so and so did it. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2 This
  10. I always try and shoot with people better than me.....which isnt hard to do!!!!
  11. No. It is a 3 Gun Nation points series match, but not a part of the 3GN Pro Series. Speaking of 3 Gun Nation, I see Chad Adams on the squad list. Somebody be sure to check the tension on those scope mount screws please. Or maybe put a tether cord on the glass and the rifle. How can you post that without posting the you tube link!!!!!
  12. As an RO on pro 7, i didnt see a lazy squad all weekend. It may have been a problem on the AM side but not PRO.
  13. Have you met her dad? hahahahahaha!!!!!! I try to keep it clean!!! Stage 6 would make anyone cuss!!!!!
  14. That was the nicest, most professional match book I have seen at a match.
  15. MG is all I shoot. They vary in weight, but are just fine for this game!!!!
  16. That is definitely a great feeling. My 13 year old will be shooting her first 3 gun match this weekend at the Pro-Am. I cant wait.
  17. Bring a folding chair........and lots of booze!!!!! The after hours parking lot parties are epic!!!!
  18. I use titegroup for 40 and 9mm but it sounds like you dont care for it much. Not sure on 10mm and 45, but clays would be an all around powder.
