  1. A little update on the picture about these groups. Both were shot with off the mill barrels, using Speer factory ammo in one case, and handloaded lead bullet with action pistol powder. Both are .40 caliber barrels.
  2. That's a pretty nice group too. According to Brandon, after correct fitting of the barrel, the same accuracy is expected on the full build. From what I know, both loads were handloads.
  3. Here it is : These are groups shot with the barrel only attached to a proprietary fixture to test accuracy.
  4. If Brandon allows me, I'll post some pics of some groups shot with the new AET barrels. The accuracy is just incredible.
  5. I've always used factory mainsprings in my SVs, I believe they are 19lbs.And cutting coils doesn't help that much. 12.5 Lbs for the recoil spring is Ok, 11 Lbs can work but it chews up the shock buffs too fast.
  6. Hi all, Is anybody knows where I could find a pair of Oakley M-Frame 3.0 ? Thanks in advance.
  7. Here is another video about another kind of holster. A duty holster. The Policewoman demonstrating this holster has some serious arguments for concealing in a flashbang holster as well as a small of the back holster without printing big handguns http://youtu.be/sn3Idb3oVgc
  8. Maybe you can try original SV pads on your mags.
  9. If you intend to shoot IPSC Classic division, keep in mind that the magwell can not be wider than 35mm. If you can, you'd better put the whole trigger parts from SV, not only the trigger bow. These parts, when properly installed really improves trigger pull.
  10. Ok, I'm not the only one ! I took another one labeled 12.5lbs and it's the right one. This is the first time I have this problem, I've used ISMI springs for years. Thanks for the input.
  11. Hi all, I just opened a brand new spring package from ISMI. It was labeled 12.5 lbs. When I put it in my gun, oh my ...! It was rather something like a 15 or 16 lbs. Anybody ever had a wrong spring in a brand new package, or a wrong label ?
  12. If you intend to shoot a lot with this pistol, don't go with an aluminium grip. Even SV don't recommend them for a pistol shooting lots of rounds at high PF. Better go with a steel one.
  13. You saw the light Trace ! I experienced the same things while training for the WorldShoot in 2008. I was shooting side by side my sight trackers and a "regular" pistol. I said to myself, something is weird with the "regular" pistol . Then I shot a couple of drills with the sight tracker, went back to the "regular" and then I understood what was going on. I could keep track of my front sight during recoil, giving me the feeling of more control and more consistency in the transitions and the sight recovery time.
  14. The last four Infinity pistols I had (or still have) were 100% Stainless steel and I never had any problem with them. The next ones will also be 100% stainless and I doesn't expect anything different than the previous ones. I've shot one Infinity pistol built with stainless slide and carbon steel frame and It ran like a champ with different ammo. The gun was even tried by Blake Miguez and It shot like an SMG in his hands.
  15. What about sending it to one of the reputable gunsmith from the forum ? I'm not sure SV will work on a pistol which was not factory built, but you could give them a call to be sure.
  16. A shooting buddy have one Factory Infinity standard 40sw that shot around 200 000 rounds with the same major three components (Frame, barrel and slide).
  17. Rescomp tubes would not fit in an Infinity metal grip without being reworked. You can use Bolen kits in 126mm, they are identical as the ones used for 140mm mags. My current combo in my Infinity is SV magtube, SV+2 pad and Bolen guts. 19 rounds easily. It's also possible using SV aluminium follower and SV spring instead of the Bolen.
  18. I have no idea of the finish hardness', but it's something put on cutting tools. It was rather the color than the hardness that made my buddy choose this one. I think this a TiN coating.
  19. The pistol belongs to one of my friend. This is a PVD coating made by IonBond. I can't remember the name of it. The original color looks more "bronze" then it gets darker if you wipe it with an oily cloth.
  20. Hi Julien A nice loking pair of guns, did you get a new grip safety as well? I see you kept the old mag release button, don't you like the new one? really like the moebius cut in the grip, mine is almost finish, will get one on the next SVI. regards, I did not change the grip safety, it was the same that came from the factory with the original grips. I do not use the mag release extension, so you can see the gap on this side of the grip. Moebius cut add a cool factor to the grip, but also adds unexpected benefits : - It helps cooling the pistol faster when you keep the action open after long strings of fire. - I have long fingers and the end of my middle finger can fit inside the cut and add a little bit for my grip. It's all good !
  21. Depending on which grip you choose (Traditional, competition or Signature) Rescomp mags might not fit. For sure, in Signature grips, the front of the mag needs to be rounded. Where the sides and the front meet on Rescomp mags, you will notice the junction. For SPS mags, in my experience they can be very inconsitent in shape and dimension. STI mags works Ok. But the best is to use original SV mags.
  22. I run STI mags for training in my SVs and It work Ok. 7 different mags in 4 different grips, all of them works. IPSC Box compliant mags.
  23. If Dalmas pistols was a sight tracker, the rib on the barrel comes blank and has to be machined to match the top of the slide lining. Mats ? Am I right ? Nice gallery Mats. I also have two 5.4 in order, as well as a .40sw SingleStack.
