  1. yeah I use 124 or 125.. these gun do not like 121's and they like any hollow points even less.. Leo
  2. Even if you are getting the mags to work, I wonder how hard it would be to make major in the V12 being its all they sell here now. Leo No problem with HS-6 and 124/125s. I know the same load in my V8 Vs my V12 in supercomp was about 10pf less at least with n350..

  4. For beauty and movement and history Omega Speedmaster Pro, for a quartz everyday watch Casio Pathfinder or a G-shock middle of the road self winders I like Seiko 5's are hard to beat for how clean they are and a nice long running movement. Leo
  5. You pushing a 124 with that? Yup. have you ever run N350 or 7625? i have run both a lot and prefer 7625.. i might have to give that a try. leo
  6. I have a 9mm limited and I played and played around with it and just gave up. at the moment i use its for parts.. leo
  7. Hopefully you have a small frame 9mm Gold Team, because I think ejection will be the least of your concerns if its a large frame. Leo I have the new gold team the v12 one. i think the frame on this one is smaller than the previous custom eric. aside from changing the spring what type of load should i use. what are the problems that i would encounter on this gun. i heard a lot about the nose drop for the 9mm. thanks. Sounds like you have the large frame but new V12... not sure what to tell you on load. I have a v8 in supercomp and a v12 in supercomp and the same load that makes major in the v12 is about 10-12pf higher in the V8. You may have to push it up a bit to get to major with all the popples. I am sure with as many 9mm major shooters someone can give you some good advice.. The main problem with the 9mm in large frame is that it doesnt work. If you can get the 9mm to run with over 16-18 rounds in the mag consistent you will have done something pretty much no one else has done. EAA should just stop importing of the large frame 9mm into the US and stick to the small frame that works fine. Tanfoglios are excellent pistols that are usually very trouble free. I just think the 38 Super is the way to go in open at the moment. leo

  9. Not surprising. The one consistent thing I've noticed about EAA/Tanfo is not staying consistent. QC is I think the other problem. I lucked out and got a good one, Looks like you luck is a little off. The whole 40/10mm mag thing is a bit weird. My 40's and 10's are the same. The 40's did not come with spacers in them. I also got an older Match, with the good sights on it. Like I said EAA/Tanfo can't seem to find a good thing and stick with it. Good luck, if anyone can help out It'll be Henning, when he gets back. Anytime I have had magazine not dropping free correctly its been mag release button. but if you removed it and it did it, it must be a variance in the frame... can you see any high spots in the magwell that could be causing it. because I havent had this problem with any of the frames and i have probably messed around with over 15 of them, but there is always a first. Leo
  10. Darn, your quick draw beat me this time!! I was hoping to make the announcement. Now we just need him to upload pictures from that new camera.... if he finds a computer to use.. leo
  11. http://www.henningshootsguns.com/tech/tech....extractor.html I tune mine pretty much like that and use the extra power spring. runs flawless till I forget to keep it clean enough Leo
  12. If a super extractor is not tuned for Super Comp I think it does that. Before the EGW slide stop pin it was different? Thats pretty weird. Leo
  13. I looked up Jim Anglin and sent him a PM. From his posts/view count it doesnt look like he visits here too often. Do you have any other contact info? Jim Anglin Sailors Custom Pistols in Omaha Nebraska. A very good guy.. will pm you email. Leo FYI - Jim does not make 170mm mags for Tanfoglio, he said he never has. He makes them for SVI/STI guns My guess would be that he makes them from 2 mags for the Caspian he could weld together 2 - 40 mags from Tangfoglio and make a big stick..

  15. Congrats to Henning for winning Standard Division at the Kongsvinger Open. I guess he is on his way to http://www.extremeeuroopen.eu/ ... Good luck Henning, Cliff and Frank! Leo
  16. I just briefly spoke to Henning (jet lag's setting in, gun looks ready, & he's shooting Sat. & Sun.) & he thought it might not matter. Jet lag only means 1 thing then... MORE REDBULL! leo
  17. can you take a picture of your follower and spring so I can see the angle on them? I have 8 mags with the same setup and never had a problem. thanks leo
  18. I have the same setup and when i let henning use the gun he put so much slide glide on the barrel i was sure it would blast all over the c-more but it didnt. its a good setup. Leo
  19. Okay, I guess I am confused now after reading over the post. you have your factory 40 cal mags that came with the gun, they do not have spacers. they have red followers and plastic base pads? so you ordered a grams kit and a alum 140 or 141 base pad from Henning and after installing you shoot the gun you are getting nose dives? can you shoot any rounds before they start to nose dive? are you shooting new brass or reloads? Leo
  20. How did you knock the spacers out and did it damage the mags at all? I just used a nice punch that fit the diameter of the knock out pin. and just popped it out with a few light hits. no damage to the mags. leo
  21. Nothing in the fridge? Did he throw out all the condiments? I know there are empty growlers... leo
  22. I use 10mm mags but for friends I have knocked the spacers out of the 40cal mags so they could load longer. The main reason for 10mm mags is just that so you can load to about 1.175. Leo
  23. I have small hands and to make my Tangfolios fit my hands I take the front and rear checkering off the grip.. I think normally they are good for large hands and with a little work they are great for small. leo
  24. John Sandlin did most of the work... I have the tools but he has most of the skill That was mine till i visited Henning for the RM300 and he said I had to give it to him. He is mean like that. Leo
  25. These are awesome quick reloaders for USPSA, I saw the light watching them at the RM300.. Leo
