  1. yeah find a drill bit and cut it off with a dremel. it should be hard enough never to booger up too. good idea. Leo
  2. I wouldn't run without it... sounds like a bad idea... Leo
  3. i heard the factory black finish is pretty low quality and nowhere near the finish Ion Bond is. Leo
  4. Honestly thats just a black limited, trick is to get slide lightening done and then ion bonded. The limited is a great gun and only better with a long firing pin and some of Henning's grips. Leo
  5. Thanks for the input and np the hammer pin is not putting any pressure on the hammer pin pin. The hammer pin pin actually wiggles ever so slightly but will simply not budge. My beautiful gun now has 2 nice big scratches surrounding this hole trying to get this damn little pin out. They give you no room to push up on the thing. Seems like a pretty poor design on this pin placement. VERY frustrating. The pin is driven so far down from the factory there is ZERO room to get something underneath it, even a razor blade. I am stuck here. I tried small needles nose pliers but they were not small enough. You need like micro sized needle nose pliers to fit in there. Some one please answer this question...can I push the hammer pin out from the opposite direction? (hammer pin pops out the right side of the gun. I can fit a small punch to the side of the hammer pin pin and get it it out that way if possible. I dont want to start hammering away with a punch and damage something. I dont know what to tell you I have never had that many problems with one... the only time i did it had a bend on it and I just broke it off and removed it as 2 pieces and put a new one in. it only comes out the top normally. Leo
  6. I guess you are talking about the hammer pin pin on a limited gun or gold team. the sear pack has to be out to pull the pin pin then the hammer pin just pushes out from the side. If its hard to get the pin pin out, a screw driver or using a 1/16 pun punch usually works to push it out the top. http://www.henningshootsguns.com/shop/pinspringscrew.html Parts breakdown. Leo
  7. Let me see what I have, but i think all my grips have had putty put on them... I will tell you though that his new hard anodized gray checkered are awesome I don't think they can be beat. Leo
  8. I have never had a problem with lead in 40 Major or 9mm Minor in either of my limited. The Poly barrels in these pistols lead very little. The barrels are also made by Lothar Walther and very good quality. You will have no problem with Lead. Leo
  9. Very clean and nice pistol! I have close to the same setup but on a V12 Tanfoglio no shield with no problems... just be careful and it should be fine. Leo
  10. Thanks Leo. Pllease pardon my ignorance, but what are the advantages of the lightened slides? faster cyclic rate.. balance etc.....a really good article on it is.. http://www.brazoscustom.com/magart/light_vs_heavy.htm Leo
  11. thanks! did yours come with the lightweight slide (ie, elongated perforations)?? you can see it here, bottom of the page http://www.tanfoglio.it/news.php?act=2&Idcategoria=6 Its Hard chrome, I don't think any of the slide lightened models have made it here to the US yet. But its very easy to lighten up. Henning has had a lot of them done for custom guns... I have not seen the black model in person but I heard the finish is not that impressive.. Leo
  12. Should be a hard chrome finishing, you might try flitz metal polish to get the stains out of it.. I dont think Park would be a good choice for this pistol, I have both Ion Bonded and factory hard chrome and its a hard choice between what one I like better... the factory hard chrome is very nice and a tough finish to beat. Leo
  13. I have 4 limited in various calibers and 3 gold teams, I am very happy with the quality of these pistols. Leo
  14. I requested warmer weather for you and Henning, your welcome. Leo
  15. Here in the US you wont be getting a upper for a Gold Team anytime soon, I have one of each complete guns. I run 10lb recoils in each and so far powder wise 7625 and 125gr Zeros have felt the best in both of them. Leo
  16. 13lb hammer spring? Might try a 14 thats what I run in my gold team with federal small rifle and never have a problem? Leo
  17. I have both and i prefer my V8 over the V12, but my V8 has some other work done to the grip and that may play part of liking it more. The V12 is a little snappier I think then the V8 but thats personal opinion. Leo
  18. nice find.. looks like an older Gold Team..is the mainspring long or short?? the older models used a longer mainspring, newer ones a very short one. back in the 90s around the time the P9 was doing well..EAA imported two models..a silver team and a gold team. since it fits the Sp01 mag..its seems to be build on the small frame which EAA does not import anymore. the newer guns that EAA imports are all built around the large frame. for $450..wow..nice deal.. Excellent find, flat trigger, small frame should be a nice little open gun besides the 9x21 brass... I have one like that i was building for fun bit a smaller comp. Leo
  19. Definately too much time on my hands.. If only I could dry fire at work, I'd be Master class by now BTW Henning, Leo made me do it. I imagine you'll have plenty of time to get him back at A3..... I'm Innocent! I have nothing but respect for Mister Wallgren.. leo
  20. I have a 9mm TS I used for pins and I loved it. Awesome factory trigger and great all around gun... 20 rounds in the mags reliable. Leo edited- spelling
  21. I have my backup Tom, dont worry. we will thin it and hook you up... that and the rear sight are always lock tight items. my rear used to always come lose. Leo
  22. I buy them as 38 super 125 fmj, exposed lead base.. and they dont show as .356 more like .35555 Leo
  23. Zero 125gr supers have always worked great for me in Open. Leo
  24. Henning was talking about making small frame pads, but I think they are behind the other projects, Magwell (being drawn up now) and stock II grips, and all the other items. leo
