  1. I have my belt buckle on the left side, moonclip rack in the middle that holds 8 moons of 38 short colt, and holster on right side towards the front.
  2. Make sure the bottom of the main spring is even with the sides of the grip frame. Make sure the roll pin is sticking out an equal distance on each side.
  3. Get the different moon clips. They will be way easier. The BMT doesn't load them all at once. It does two opposite ones at once, same with unloading. There is no need to fight with them. With the right clips, it's easy in, easy out.
  4. Pioneer Gun Club is near Bates City, MO. There is also Bates City BBQ, one of the really good BBQ places.
  5. If they are not working, send them back to TK with some brass. They are really good about customer service. You may want to call and talk to Tom, first.
  6. Mine are way easy with the same components. It sounds like maybe the brass groove changed or the moonclips are wrong.
  7. I just put a Holosun HE507C-GR on an Allchin mount on mine. We'll see how that works out.
  8. That's great news! Glad it's back online. I would hate it if my 627s didn't work right.
  9. There is a spring that holds the storage lock down, right at the bottom of the flag. Make sure it's hooked in the slot in the frame just above the top of the cylinder bolt. You need the cylinder bolt out to see what's going on. If the spring isn't retained in the slot, the flag may pop up or flop around during recoil. Those are great pix, better than we usually get. In pic 7, it looks like the flag spring is visible along the bottom. That could possibly be part of the frame, though.
  10. Agree with tim_w. Every gun is an individual entity base on the parts it is made with. Every part has + or - tolerances. Some parts aren't made right. Depending on how the tolerances on that collection of parts stack up or cancel out, and what things aren't right, determines how that particular gun shoots, how good the action is, etc. The most consistent parts are the springs and MIM parts.
  11. You can always run a 38 Super chamber reamer in a 357 cylinder. It only takes out a little bit at the back. Might need to deepen the moonclip area for thicker clips. Then it will run the 38/357 family and 38 super.
  12. Do you have lubrication in the lockworks and on the yoke tube where the cylinder turns?
  13. The 2 clicks on the trigger return are normal. When the trigger doesn't return all the way forward, it doesn't pick up the DA sear on the hammer, then can't cycle the hammer.
  14. I agree. The 38 Super was the best.
  15. That would be a great load to go with. I'm running 38 SC with 4 gr. of 231 and a 160 Bayou bullet.
  16. gargoil66 and sousa - Thanks for the reviews. It looks like we're on the right track. I'm glad you all are enjoying these. There are other things in the works, can't say what just yet.
  17. I have a M29 I made into a 44 Automag. It uses 45 ACP moons, but they have to be machined to work right. It works great once you're set up. Starline is making 44 Automag brass now. Back when, I had to make my brass out of 308 rifle brass. That was a ton of work.
  18. I make a knob for the Safariland type 1 speedloaders that makes them easy to use in a match. The main problem with them is trying to hang on to the tiny knob that comes on them. With a bigger knob, you can get them out of the speedloader pouch quickly, then stick them in and push to release. A factory speedloader is on the left. A revised one is on the right. An old school basketweave speedloader pouch.
  19. Yep - sounds like me with a lever action rifle. About every 3rd shot I get the trigger finger mashed between the bottom of the trigger and the lever coming up. That feels so good! NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Thanks, guys! It is different, but you can't get different results by doing the same thing over and over. This one gives the trigger the leverage of a toggle linkage over the hammer. Similar to a reloading press linkage. The trigger smoothly gets easier to pull as the mechanical leverage increases over the hammer.
  21. Factory trigger with a non factory trigger stop.
