Base from the picture, I see no problem with that as long as the screws are tight with red loctite. The holes will be centered since it is drilled countersink. This is my take on that or probably I'm wrong.

Go for it Jay. I once build my own from scratch and is very satisfying as Joe4d said. I like to build what I would use. Heck, even mag pouches and holster, scope mount, thumb rest compensator, base pads I'm building my own and its working for what is intended to.

Hi there, For those of you who owned the Tanfoglio Limited Custom, have you tried to check if your gun fits the IPSC box. Mine, I checked last weekend in prep for a major match and found out that it does not fit. Problem is the length and I may have to shave off the beaver tail. BTW the the box as I know was measured as per IPSC but with no tolerance.
