MBX which is based in California recently came out with 10 round mags for Open shooters in California and other places that restrict magazine capacity.

Source ?  Nothing on the MBX website

STI makes them and what Canada and NY etc with restricted mags do is build a base on the factory base plate to make them about 140 mm so you can load them etc.

Also use a dowel and make a "plug" for the base plate that will not allow more than ten to be loaded. for your current mags

I think it's 21/4" dowel with a Dawson +1 pad

Hello: Read what the guys do in Canada to there mags. If you are using 126mm mags you can use the Double Tap base pads that don't allow more rounds but extend the mag about 12mm. I bought some from Shooters Connection. Thanks, Eric

Thanks! But I didn't find it on shooter connection. Could you please provide a link?

And how would this work? http://jagerproducts.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=40&products_id=112

Thank you!

Hello: They are the Double Tap DTS-126 from Shooters Connection and cost $20 each. They work with a variety of base pads that I have tried them with. Thanks, Eric

Sounds interesting

Better than these as far as length.. almost another ~5mm if your 12mm spec is correct.

$ 130 for a 10 round magazine ?  No thanks

If they had announced these a couple of months sooner I'd have rather had them than hacking together STI 126mm magazines..

By the time you buy STI mags for ~$70 and add a baseplate long enough to clear a magwell you're up to ~$90 without touching the follower/spring.. and the MBX mags are way nicer.

Brownells sells 10rd mags for most gun makes, just click on the mag you need and it should show options for 10 rds:

Brownell's has a huge market to Canadians, as they are one of the only US suppliers that are licensed to ship to Canada. You should be able to get anything in 10rds.

$ 90 would be more in line since you can get STI 10 round mags that work just fine for around $ 60 IIRC.
