Flexmoney
Tom, I am sure she'd let you sleep in the attic. Jeff, I think you two are on the "Open W" (featuring the shakey bridge)...along with my better half.
BDH
Jeff, I think you two are on the "Open W" (featuring the shakey bridge)...along with my better half. Kyle, doesn't want his better half working with me any more since I broke her in, and now he is afraid we have a 'range thing goin' on'... I'm off to the Summer Blast. Wish me well with TSA at 6:00 AM tomorrow, shooting well in the afternoon, and then running all you guys over the next couple of days.
vluc
Any Saturday shooters interested in meeting up for breakfast at Bob Evans - or some other spot - before the Staurday match then convoying down to the range? Flex, any chance we can get an escort, just in case??
Flexmoney
OK...I have my truck and trailer loaded with a stage + worth of props. I am going to take them down to Rayner's today (if I can shake myself loose).
Flexmoney
Directions from Zanesville Getting to Rayner's Range from Zanesville is very easy. No reason to get lost unless you try (tee-hee) There are only two turns. - from Z-ville, take State Route 60 south. To get to St. Rt 60... ...coming from the west on I-70, take the 7th Street exit (then go right) ...coming from the east on I-70, take the Underwood exit (then go left) ...follow the signs for 60 south. You will be on St. Rt. 60 for quite a ways. Once you get out of Zanesville (a few minutes), you should be following the Muskingum River, it will be on your right. You will go 9 more miles before you hit the first town, Duncan Falls. After Duncan Falls, you continue another 5 miles or so before you get to the little place called Gaysport. (Note: Do NOT follow any signs that say Blue Rock...that is a common mistake.) - First Turn. In Gaysport there are two left...you want the second left. From St. Rt. 60 south, you will be turning left onto Rt. 376. If you are paying close attention, you will see a sign that points out that Ruraldale is 4 miles. (Note: In Gaysport there is a bridge to the right that goes across the river. THAT is your intersection, BUT, you are going left on 376...) Ruraldale (4 miles) is just a crossroad on top of a hill. Go straight. You have another 4 miles (it may seems longer). Here is the key...there are some forks and turns coming...ALWAYS GO STRAIGHT, NEVER GO UPHILL. - Your second turn is a right onto Rayner's Lane. You won't miss the sign. Follow the lane on back, then up the hill to the range. Recap....take 60 south for 15 miles or so...turn left (east) on 376, go for 8 country miles...turn right onto Rayner's Lane. driver8M3
...you continue another 5 miles or so before you get to the little place called Gaysport. gaysport? man oh man...is that where that cornholing stuff got started???
BDH
Like I said.... the challenge is not in finding the range in the morning.... it is finding your way out after the end of match festivities through the hills, and hollers, and scary places like GAYSPORT! AikiDale
Flexmoney, Mary and I are coming up Saturday evening and shooting Sunday. Can you give me an idea of how many rounds I will need minimum for Sunday? I'll load more, but I need a baseline! The rest of you: I plan to wear the Maku Mozo shirt so please introduce yourself! (I probably won't remember your face but I never forget a name....) Dale

Jake Di Vita
I'll be there....Probably wearing a white T with jeans....Look for the Corona "do-rag." Keeps the sweat out of my eyes.
Flexmoney
Dale, The match has something along the lines of 210 rounds needed to shoot clean. I plan to take 500 +, since I will be signing up for the shoot-offs on Sunday. (I shooter can go thru a lot of ammo on a shoot-off...bring PLENTY. Have fun.) Has everybody reserved their golf cart? I have mine.
Qstick
Has everybody reserved their golf cart? I have mine Flex - I have been debating this back and forth - Am I going to regret not having a golf cart? I can split the cost of one with my friend coming along, so that isn;t a concern. I've never been to the range, so I have no idea what to expect. Thanks, Zach
Bill Nesbitt
Are those 4-wheel drive golf carts? Bill Nesbitt
Flexmoney
Here is the info for the Bob Evan's on Underwood. (click here for map and info) The map is a bit off (unless they moved the Bob Evan's since I last went through there.) They have it sitting about where the Red Lobster is... Anywy...no matter. Most of the hotels and eateries are right there. Vince, if I get in touch with Jobey, I'll see if he can meet you there so that you can follow him out. Flexmoney
Latest count is 180 shooter. I think there will be over a half-dozen GM's, and a whole pile of Masters. Once again, it looks like good shooter in every Division. Still some room on Sunday.

Flexmoney
vluc, I merged your "meet at Bob Evan's" thread into this one. I found a staff member that will be coming from Zanesville and can guide shooters to the range on Friday and Saturday. Jobey will be at the Bob Evan's on Underwood (see the thread above for more info on where it is) at 0900 on Friday. The guide leaves for the range at 0910 on Friday. Same deal on Saturday...meet at Bob Evan's an hour before registration begins.

AikiDale
So will this be grass over mud, gravel over mud or just mud? I gotta decide between high top sneakers or cleats!
Thomas Moore
i would go with the cleats. it the grass is wet you might slip. most of the range is grass, at least it was last year flex would be able to tell you what the range looks like today. flex, did you guys get any rain down there today?
