My first MGM IRON MAN and WOW!! I have heard guys talk in the past of what an Elite group of shooters who come together and shoot 1000+ rounds over 3 days. As shooting stories are sometimes like fishing stories, this was NOT. I can't compliment Travis, Mike, and their support groups enough for most challenging, class act match along with a wonderful team of RO's. Day 3 back in the steel mill and I am still thinking of the match as my body constantly reminds me!

I also want to thank Travis for hanging in there during the scoring issues at the end. Sometimes when you bust your butt so hard for so long only to please everyone then one slight mishap accurs sometimes you can loose focus, which you did not. Great job! Thanks for the great squad & giving us all the chance to make new friends as this is what our sport is about.

And for Mr. Sterling White......sorry for the waterboarding buddy on stage 7  , we knew you would not crack under pressure and would appreciate the humor for the last shooter on the last stage of the match!

Look forward to seeing you all again.

Brian

Absolutely the best Ironman, let alone best 3-gun, I've ever shot!

Travis, Mike and all the ROs: fantastic job!

Sam was spectacular on Stage 7! Yes, it was by far the best stage and made the match. In a small way I was lucky, and am probably the only shooter who had 3 starts on that stage!

Also, to everyone who posted videos here, you did great work! Let's keep them coming!

Here's me on stage 7:

Unreal, what the hell was that ? Next year I'm there for sure, going to start saving ammo now !! :angry2:

As quoted before, quite possibly the most inovative 3gun stage ever !!!

We've been trying to tell you.......

As an RO, I want to thank ALL the competitors at this years Ironman. Everyone on every squad was quick to help reset the stage for the next shooter. This is one of the greatest contributing factors to keeping the match flowing smoothly. I also want to thank everyone for their patients at the awards. It seems that no matter how hard we try to get it all done right, Murphy seems to be able to stick his head  in there somewhere, and that's just when he decided to show up.

Sponsors: THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I can't say that enough, and neither can the competitors. We wouldn't have the match that we have if it wasn't for the fact that everyone walked away with some outstanding gear from the prize table. You have all gone above and beyond with your support and can never be thanked enough.

ok

I just sent the last of the emails to all of the sponcers saying thank you. . . . to the Gibson family (especialy Mike's grandson. . .the only 10 year old squad 4 would trust with our rifles in the rain . . . and to the R.O.'s and all of the range staff that kept us feed and hydrated and all of the targets working. . . . thank you. . .and Travis . . your forgiven for that added penalty of the double swinger on stage 10 . . .after I walked away. . .

Travis and the MGM Family get two thumbs up for the match this year! Each stage presented a different set of challenges, i.e., ammunition management, challenging targets, physical agility test, driving a golf cart and shooting on-the-go, screaming down a zip line at 35.6 mph and engaging 10 targets, 2 really fun surprise stages (and even getting water boarded...LOL!). A big thanks goes out to a great squad too.

Wow, still trying to catch up here on the business end of things.

What a great match! Thanks to Travis, Mike and all the MGM crew/staff/RO's and sponsors for putting this crazy event together again!

A few photo's from the event can be seen here:

Thanks to http://pof-usa.com/ for the cool 6.8 rifle I won up there!

Thanks to John Paul of http://jprifles.com/ the CTR-02 rocked the long range and ran flawlessly for the whole match! 13 shots for 10 hits at 700+ yards and 550 with a Trijicon 3.5 TA-11!

Thanks to Mark Buchanan of http://www.specializeddynamics.com/ for tuning up my Bevin Gram's Benelli. It ran flawlessly!

Thanks to http://www.primaryweapons.com/ for talking their machinist into modifying one of my off set mounts to be able to take an Aimpoint T1 (Wed night before the match)!

Thanks to Rick at http://www.comholsters.com/ for modifying a holster so my open gun wouldn't fall out during some of the stages that require A LOT of movement! (Rick actually went and bought a heat gun just to help me out!) If you are shooting open in three gun matches I highly suggest running one of his holsters!

Thanks to Mike of http://www.schuemann.com/ for bringing me the spare open gun and rig in case mine went down.

Thanks to Cara, Scott M, Darrion, George, Sam, Luke, Kent, Dustin, RJ, Todd, Dean, Stacy, Jon, all of squad 10 for a great time and all the help with everything from ammo to cameras, etc!

Can't wait for next year!

Travis, without support from your company and YOU personally helping me with my shooting and student needs - I would probably have a day job! (not really would probably prefer to be homeless LOL).

Take care brother and if you guys and gals at MGM Targets ever need anything from me, drop me a line!
