  1. I have been testing the product called FireClean this year on my competition Predator 15. I am no longer scraping carbon off the carrier, bolt and firing pin. The stuff does work. For all my handgun stuff I use my own proprietary blend that I may put back on the market.
  2. Call me on my cell if I can help you. 6027908838

    Take care,

    Matt

  3. In fact we have two vent ribbed FNs instock right now! :-)
  4. Check this out if you want. http://www.youtube.com/mattburkett#p/u/3/4B0Qq4pO_-4 There are a few more up on youtube also. Haven't had time to get the rest processed and uploaded from the Ironman. Take care, Matt
  5. Thanks for all the great compliments! I do appreciate them. Thanks to BrianEnos.com for being our NUMBER ONE DISTRIBUTOR! I wish I had more time to help out around here. We are starting to get busy building cool guns and doing training. :-) Take care and Merry Christmas everyone! Matt Burkett
  6. Monty, we don't work on CZ. I recommend CZ Custom for work on those. :-)

  7. Thanks for the compliments! BTW we have updated the mounts! You can check out the new Gen 2 press release on BE at: Predator Tacticals Forum On BE! here's a pic You can order one here: Predator Tactical Take care, Matt Which means that you will need to have a race pistol and shotgun in order to stick with the competition. I think much more prevalent would be a slightly less battle rifle optic with mini red dot on open rifles. Thats it? Is the system really that much more of an advantage over a variable optic (1-4x)? Is the Acog (or rifle scope) with red dot piggy back the ultimate optic setup? I thought the setup wasn't prevalent because there was some flaw I couldn't see. For me, the red dot/higher power optic combo is not that much of an advantage compared to a good variable power illuminated reticle scope with a true 1x on the low end. Bear in mind that I have shot less than 500 rounds through my RMR mounted at 45*. Some would argue that the Open Division rifle is the least advantageous of the 3 Open guns. The bipod and bigger compa are nice benefits in that division too. However compared the high capacity shotguns/pistols with optics. The biggest Open Division advantage us the speed loaders on the shotgun or a magazine fed shotgun. Yes the Burkett mount is tha much better than stacking several mounts to get to 45 degrees. As far as an Open rifle goes. Not only is the two optic option faster due to the fact you are not changing power but you can also run different zeroes which allows for easier holds for mechanical sight offset.
  8. We just finished the first PT 1911 .45! Check out the photo's at http://ping.fm/z36P5

  9. The show was quite fun to do! Would have popped in here earlier, but, have done 2500 miles in the last week and a half driving. The part I loved the best was filming and seeing the instant results from the high speed camera they rented for the production. I have to get me one of those! Anyhow, if anyone has any questions about the show drop them here or shoot me an email. Take care, Matt Burkett
  10. We are working on getting them back online now. http://info.mattburkett.com/podcast/podcast.xml There are only a few up so far. I am trying to find the rest of them. :-) http://info.mattburkett.com/podcast/Jan262010MattBurkettradioshow.mp3 http://info.mattburkett.com/podcast/podcast/radio_show_v2_1.mp3 http://info.mattburkett.com/podcast/podcast/radio_show_v2_2.mp3 http://info.mattburkett.com/podcast/podcast/radio_show_v2_21.mp3 http://info.mattburkett.com/podcast/podcast/radio_show23.mp3 http://info.mattburkett.com/podcast/podcast/radio_show24.mp3 http://info.mattburkett.com/podcast/podcast/radio_show25.mp3 http://info.mattburkett.com/podcast/podcast/radio_show26.mp3 http://info.mattburkett.com/podcast/podcast/radio_show27.mp3 http://info.mattburkett.com/podcast/podcast/radio_show29.mp3 http://info.mattburkett.com/podcast/podcast/radio_show30.mp3 http://info.mattburkett.com/podcast/podcast/radio_show31.mp3 http://info.mattburkett.com/podcast/podcast/radio_show32_lost.mp3 http://info.mattburkett.com/podcast/podcast/vod106shot.m4v
  11. Vicki, I am deeply saddened by the loss of Eddie and will miss running into him at the matches. One hell of a guy. My sincerest condoences.
  12. I just rec. the new sights from Cmore and will know in the next couple of days. Look like an adapter plate is needed as there are no locator pin indentations. Cool additions to the sight are: 1. removable battery tray without removing the sight from the mount. 2. New intensity switch Positions Off/AT/M
  13. Travis, without support from your company and YOU personally helping me with my shooting and student needs - I would probably have a day job! (not really would probably prefer to be homeless LOL). Take care brother and if you guys and gals at MGM Targets ever need anything from me, drop me a line! Matt
  14. Wow, still trying to catch up here on the business end of things. What a great match! Thanks to Travis, Mike and all the MGM crew/staff/RO's and sponsors for putting this crazy event together again! A few photo's from the event can be seen here: http://picasaweb.google.com/burkettvideo Thanks to http://pof-usa.com/ for the cool 6.8 rifle I won up there! Thanks to John Paul of http://jprifles.com/ the CTR-02 rocked the long range and ran flawlessly for the whole match! 13 shots for 10 hits at 700+ yards and 550 with a Trijicon 3.5 TA-11! Thanks to Mark Buchanan of http://www.specializeddynamics.com/ for tuning up my Bevin Gram's Benelli. It ran flawlessly! Thanks to http://www.primaryweapons.com/ for talking their machinist into modifying one of my off set mounts to be able to take an Aimpoint T1 (Wed night before the match)! Thanks to Rick at http://www.comholsters.com/ for modifying a holster so my open gun wouldn't fall out during some of the stages that require A LOT of movement! (Rick actually went and bought a heat gun just to help me out!) If you are shooting open in three gun matches I highly suggest running one of his holsters! Thanks to Mike of http://www.schuemann.com/ for bringing me the spare open gun and rig in case mine went down. Thanks to Cara, Scott M, Darrion, George, Sam, Luke, Kent, Dustin, RJ, Todd, Dean, Stacy, Jon, all of squad 10 for a great time and all the help with everything from ammo to cameras, etc! Can't wait for next year!
  15. Best of luck with your recovery! Congrats on surviving an iffy situation!
  16. Thank you all for your support. The service went as well as can be expected. BTW I did do some after interviews about him, most had significant resistance until I actually got them to sit down then they just let a bunch of stories go. Not an easy thing to do on either end, but, I think it was worth it. I am not sure if I will ever be able to edit the footage. I just know that I have it. There were around 250 people at the service. Pretty amazing for a town that only has a population of about 130 now. Hell of a guy and I hope to live up to the standard he set. Thanks again and take care all and I hope to see you at a match sometime. Matt
  17. Eric, That is a great idea. Everyone should be a little more relaxed and more reflective. Thanks, Matt
  18. Jack, Thanks and best of luck for your upcoming task. I would suggest reading "Speaker for the Dead" by Orson Scott Card. Other than being a fantastic book it may give you a few ideas. Take care, Matt
  19. Thanks to everyone. Up in Minot, ND and have been tasked with doing the memorial slideshow. Wow, going through those photo's has brought back memories. It's going to be a long week. I am kind of thrown on one thing. I don't know whether to film some of the services or not. Maybe ask people what there fondest memories of him were or something? Any ideas or is it best not to do anything. Take care all and take a moment to call those that have touched your life. You never know when they won't be around anymore. Matt
  20. Norman Lee, one of the best, toughest and hardest working people I have ever been blessed to know has finally got to take a vacation. He leaves behind a legacy that is to be envied by nearly anyone. A few years ago I had watched "Things to do in Denver when your dead". I flew to ND and interviewed my grandparents. If anyone is interested the footage is below. I highly recommend doing this for your older family members. You will highly cherish it when the time comes. http://burkettvideo.com/lee/G&GLEE.wmv Between my Mom and my Grand Parents, they are to blame for my shooting career. :-) Only God knows how many rounds of .22 I used to shoot out on the farm whacking blackbirds. Grandma used to get me to stop bothering her by give me a brick of .22 ammo in the morning. I miss those days of youth and I miss my Grandpa. Matt Burkett
  21. Just back from my travels again and wanted to post a thanks over here to Mike, Travis, Tennille and the rest of the staff and crew of the MGM IronMan! WHAT A GREAT MATCH THIS YEAR! It ran incredibly smooth. Thanks to all the sponsors and everyone that makes this match possible! I have some great footage that I will be posting up later this week! Take care, Matt
  22. Its just money right? Freakin peer pressure. Ok pending 4 spots with Matt on sat I'm in. Hey guys and gals! Looks like this one is going to be pretty popular! I am excited about it too! Hopefully the way it works is that the first ones to sign up at MattBurkett.com get to shoot in the same squad on Saturday. Will be forwarding names to the MD until squad is full. What will really be fun is being able to reshoot the stages on Sunday to figure out the mistakes made in the match! If you are having problems signing up on my site, please call me at 602-790-8838. If you have any questions, please drop them here in BE's forums or on mine. Take care, Matt
  23. My main rifle practice comes from having a 10-22 setup with the same scope etc. as my JP-15. I use 10 of those MGM auto poppers of different shapes from 40-90 yards. I have 10 Butler Creek 25 rounders and their loader. In a one hour practice session I shoot about 1,000 rounds from standing and kneeling. Rarely do I practice supported or prone with the .22. Sometimes I will work to and from a table top or some sort of vertical support on the range. With the JP-15 I only shoot about 100 rounds per session in conjunction with the 10-22. Will time myself to see the difference in speed between the two to make sure that there isn't a huge disparity happening. Nice thing is its cheap and doesn't take that long. Usually my annual goal is 40-60 sessions. Hope that helps. Matt Burkett
  24. He made the world a better place while he was here. There is nothing more a man can do. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
