Recommended Posts

Here are the super squad I will follow since they are all shooting THE SAME STAGES!!

Eric- 894

Jet-844

Max-830

Kc-826

Jeufro-818

Stephen Hinojales-804

Eric is in lead with 1 "D" and won 5 stages so far!! All others has made mistakes on at least 1 mike on 1 stage and a lot of d's..

Grauffel lost a lot of weight and is faster than ever! He is super skinny and has quick feet movement!

Tilley and BJ are on squad 1, too... The Jet is not - he's on squad 3. It looks like they're shooting in some kind of rotation similar to the last World Shoot, so that some squads will all shoot the same stages the same day, and then move to a new block of states to rotate around the next day, etc...

Squad 1 (Eric, Max, Chris, KC, Brodie, BJ): http://www.xtremeshooting.com.br/mss/squad...m=1&Squad=1

Squad 3 (Jethro, Jeufro): http://www.xtremeshooting.com.br/mss/squad...m=1&Squad=3

I love that scoring detail.

In Open, for instance...

EG: Total: 78 12 1 0 0 0 440 56.77 433.9506

KC: Total: 62 24 5 0 0 0 416 56.95 405.2226

CT: Total: 70 18 2 1 0 0 416 60.57 386.1024

MM: Total: 72 16 3 0 0 0 430 62.99 384.1606

That is only 6 stages, 30 more to go.

12 stages down...

EG: Total: 165 20 1 0 0 0 907 113.25 894.8161

MM: Total: 150 31 4 1 0 0 872 118.43 830.4156

KC: Total: 125 53 7 1 0 0 841 114.79 826.1115

CT: Total: 140 39 6 1 0 0 858 121.66 794.1033

Max had a pretty good 2nd day it seems. He was 50pts back on the Day 1 stages. On the Day 2 stages, he was back less than 15pts, and those pts are accounted for in his miss. Max was a bit slow on the 1st day...back 6 seconds. He turned that around on Day 2, coming in a second faster than EG.

EG...fantastic points and the fastest guy in the field. Off to a 65pt lead. Tough.

Still, lots of stages left. And, lots of great shooters on various squads that can steal stage points and distort things. (No offense meant to anybody I didn't mention. Just a narrow view on my part.)

Like shred was saying - the internet access at the hotels is iffy. As far as match ammo goes - the 9x19 is VERY accurate but more blasty than my homegrown stuff. It is consistant.

By the end of today the match will be at the halfway point. All the stages are straightforward, some have multiple ways to shoot them. Most of the stages have targets at a distance of 10-20 yds. A bit farther than distances we in the USA are used to shooting.

We had one scarey moment - an open shooter AD'ed into his foot. :surprise:

He walked off the stage under his own power to the waiting ambulance - hopefully everything is ok with him.

The pic attached gives you a good idea of the target ranges - that one target on the right is about as close as they get - most of the targets are at the range of the others in the pic.

Also, most of the speed shoots have at least one target a 20-ish yds - this puts a premium on accurracy!

Here's another of Dave... the streak over the no-shoot is the bullet. Check out the target-hat on the paster too-- several of them have made those. It's hot in the sun (I had to squash the pictures down to get them to upload-- I'll try and fix the quality later)

Katerina Sustrova is on our squad--she's been shooting well, so while our stages are different from the ladies SS, I bet she'll be up there somewhere at the end. This is her heading uprange on one of the stages.

Here's Jenny on another uprange run

Word from the Standard SS is Travis is probably winning at the moment, with SmittyFL in 3rd, and Blake Miguez as the dark-horse on another schedule.

Here's Smitty on the draw--

The biggest controversy I've heard so far is why the French shirts look so much like the US Team shirts first seen at the EHC last year... ;)

Here's some more of Bali in general--

Scooters are everywhere.. weaving in and out of traffic, going up on the sidewalk, the wrong direction, everywhere they can fit. This one has a family of four, count 'em, four on it.

post-1846-1225274334_thumb.jpg

At the Opening Ceremony they did a version of the Barong Dance-- a traditional dance/play with a 2-person tiger costume as well as the typical Balinese dancers and costumes. By the end half the spectators were locals, which was cool.

Eric has a 78 point lead over KC after 3 days. Jojo has moved ahead of Mike Voigt by a point. Doni Spencer has moved up in the Open Ladies division though it's still too close to call as some of the ladies are shooting a different schedule.

Adam Tyc is 89 points ahead of Angus, and just over 100 ahead of Matthew Mink. Unless something breaks this too big of a gap to close, I think.

Debbie Keehart is in 4th place in Ladies Standard, again they seem to be spread over different areas so it's hard to judge actual placings.

In the Open Junior category, Brad and Shane have 1,2 respectively and BJ and James Mcginty are 6,7

US Mens Open, Open Junior, Standard and USA Ladies are winning the Team contests at the moment.

Travis is doing great in Standard, again hard to judge position as the shooters are spread out a little.

a shooter from Spain shot himself in the thigh back in '86. On that stage you had to reholster before running up some stairs. He had disabled the hammer drop on his double action 9mm. When he holstered he had his trigger finger in the trigger guard. It caught on the holster and BANG!!! He was ok but Spain was almost kicked out of IPSC.
