J.L. Hardy
does anyone know where i could get ahold of some speed loaders for a 20ga. i have a benelli super 90 that i use to shoot open class with but no speed loaders and before i give up on it i would like to either make some or find some. at one time i heard that Kay Clark Miculek used a 20ga rem 1100 with speed loaders. so maybe some could be found. lcambre
One of the guys I shoot with has converted TEC loaders to work with a Rem. 20 gauge. The shotgun has a full size frame so the bracket works with it. He put PVC tube inserts into the loader tubes to work with the 20 gauge diameter. If the Benelli 20ga. has the same size frame as the 12ga this could work. Louis
MattBurkett
Matt Kartozian of Customglock.com has a 20 with speed loaders. All he did was experiment a bit and crimped the end of the tubes down from the full size ones.
L9X25
Has anybody else sucessfully converted 12ga Techloaders to work with the 20ga? I purchased a set of the ArmsTec speed loader tubes for a 12ga 1100 and mounted the bracket to the 20ga gun by simply shortening the mounting pins about .090" I can now fill the tubes and load them into the tube, just like a 12ga. Unfortunately, I will need to fabricate a spacer so that the 20's are held tightly enough to actually use in a match. My initial thought was to search for PVC pipe with the correct dimensions, but see where others may have solved the problem is a much simpler fashion. Anybody else done this?
