LadyinBlue Posted May 1, 2007 Share Posted May 1, 2007 (edited) This morning while entering my driveway I noticed a rattlesnake on the ground. He was quickly dispatched with a round to the head from my trusty Smith & Wesson snubby. As Martha Stewart would say: "It's a good thing". Edited to assure you that even though the photo was removed, the snake was impressed by the shooting skill and one shot kill. Besides no guns for the general populace, they have honking HUGE spiders there. My son was training with the regional WuShu team in Sichuan province last year and killed a spider in his room that was 8" across (yes, he's an excitable 15 year old, but I saw the sucker and it actually was that big). Last Saturday at C-ville, going over to the safe area after the Action Pistol match...I did a little dance when a snake caught me off guard. You and me both man. If I see a spider bigger than a quarter, out comes the shotgun + hydrashok slugs. I can't even tell you what kind of spider it was that was living it one of the trash can down at Rayner's all last summer. It was on a stage up the far hill...so nothing messed with it (or the trash) for most of the year. It was big and bad enough to be making out with Kirsten Dunst. I didn't see it there last Sunday.
