Scooter
http://www.elisetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30674 Everyone is guessing this car is totaled due to a hole in the bonded aluminum main chassis that is not replaceable.
Flatland Shooter
Now that's heartbreaking. Get back on the waiting list. With luck, it will be less than two years for the replacement.
Rocket35
Pretty expensive bobo. I wonder whose job just got axed!
Flatland Shooter
Should fire everyone within eyesight. It looks like they didn't realize that a rear engine piece of art will be rear end heavy. Not professionally handled. Bet he sticks with the Lotus dealership (at least with this car's replacement),
Scooter
If you read the link, father in law is the manager of the Goodyear shop. The owner made sure they were aware of the complicated nature in jacking/lifting procedure in a Elise and showed them the procedures from the owner's manual. They also screwed up the front end when they lowered it and drop it onto a tool chest.
Flatland Shooter
Sounds like "The Three Stooges Automotive". If they don't know how to do something, they need to tell the customer. Now the customer is upset (rightfully so) and the shop's insurance is looking at a big bill. Hope it works out for the guy (i.e. no lawyer fees involved). Gameplayer
If it was just to change tires why was the lift that high in the first place. Edited November 8, 2006 by GamePlayer

Scooter
Guys are lazy, they wanted the tire to be at chest level. One guy posted, he's never seen the Lotus dealer raise car up more than a foot, maybe that's the reason. It's still funny none the less, as long as you weren't the owner.
