Anyone making these I can order at a reasonable price ?  I looked at some off the commercial frangible and light bullet loads from Federal and Win, but they were very high velocity.. Rather buy a case than set up press

My guess is you want a bullet weight below 180gr and a velocity of about 750fps.  I did a series of searches on AmmoSeek, and found nothing.  https://ammoseek.com/ammo/45acp  I first tried a number of bullet weights, then for all bullet weights had it look for "minor".

I have shot a lot of Wilson Combat and Michigan Ammo reduced Lead bullet ammo:

My experience in Industry is that suppliers would certify that what they were shipping me was green cheese from the Moon if I paid enough.  If you talk to a local loader, and commit to buying enough, they'll make you whatever you want.

Atlanta Arms catalogs a 185 at 800.

I load a 200 at something under 700 fps.

I thought I checked them,, I ended up trading the 625 for a 627....  However I still want a 325 thunder ranch, not sure why, but I do. I stumbled into a 7 shot 386 scadmium framed 7 shot 3" for mounted carry on last day of freedom in VA was riding in heavy protected bear population area at the time and wanted something for SD against black bear I could fall on.

Joe, in case you want to load some.....Try the Berry's 185 HBRN ( their 230 with out the core).  OAL 1.230  4.6 grains of VV 310.  Crimp .462  (yes, I said .462)  At this crimp you will get an inch group at 25 yds with most guns and this should lock back the last round in most factory sprung 1911s.  I have used this load in many steel matches in Revos (like the PSA SHOOTOUT in PA) and it is light and accurate.  When I was loading I had a lot of happy customers with this load.

I stumbled upon this load when experimenting with crimp and noted the groups were shrinking with more crimp.

A person should chrono the USMC Load with N310 WLP WW Brass with the Nosler 185gr JHP.  It is like cheating.

The load is spooky accurate out of the 625's.

I have had good experience with the above mentioned Berry's 185gr RN HB bullet and Tite Group.

I have noticed that too with my load of 4.3g Clays.

I've got a 325 TR, great gun even EDC with it.
