Romeo 7 and 7s are good

Romeo 8T and 8H are excellent

Romeo 5 xdr predator is good

Romeo 4 and 6 the reticle is too small for my eyes

Romeo Zero is good for a range toy that doesn't get abused

Romeo 1 pro is great

Juliet 3 and 4 are great

Msr 1-6 LPVO is good for the $

Tango6T 1-6 LPVO there are better options for the $

I think that is all the personal experience I have with Sig optics

I've had an original Romeo 1 on my X5 since I bought it in 2018 I think. It's never had an issue, not once. I don't treat it nicely either. One of my ARs has a Romeo 5 that has been on there for a long time and takes tons of abuse and is still going strong.

Was using the Romeo 1 for a few years on my X5 for IPSC production Optics gun, had a few issues early with them but sorted out and worked fine, have an astigmatism and had a look at a guy's Holosun 509t with green reticle and looked better for me so went with the 509t just for the green reticle. Had the Sig R1 been green I probably have stayed with that.

Pretty good write-up. Let me add a few thoughts:

1. The Romeo4H red and green have vastly different reticles. The red, IMHO, is better in nearly all cases. Green is maybe better if you're using magnification.

2. The Romeo6T is a superb optic functionality-wise, but its durability is in question. I had one fail while in the safe, and I saw a couple people who had them fail, which makes me think there's some issues (and probably why they were discontinued).

3. The Whiskey5 1-5x with the Hellfire reticle is a really under-rated general purpose optic for MPBR ranges and maybe a little further out. Alas, they were discontinued.

4. Romeo1Pro is, IMHO, not as good as the DPP. It is still a very good optic in general.

5. Romeo0 has a tendency to self-destruct when you adjust it too much. I would use a Holosun K optic every time instead of a R0.

6. The Juliet4 is superb if you are running a red dot reticle with drops.

I have had 1 Romeo3 Max fail, my friend has gone through 5 in 12 months. Its all relative.

I've had two R3Max that have had cracked glass.

Same area; across the base from side to side.

They continued working.

I don't know what the cause is.

Are they just breaking spontaneously for some reason or is a case hitting them just right? ... don't know.

lots will say “Chinese” but you know they’re logging data to improve QC as this is costing them more than they want it to, regardless of still being profitable.

I cracked many XL's.  Switched from a 12# recoil spring to a 13# variable and the issue went away.  They new me when I called for warranty.

Interesting. Do you think it was from case impact or something else?

Do you think they all suffered from the same issue?

I just switched from a 13# to a 14#. We'll see how it goes...

I think it was from too light of a recoil spring.  No signs of ever having cases hit the sight.
