2011 140mm 9mm Magazine Setup

I have 4 Gen1 STI 140mm magazines.  I wanted to add basepads for additional capacity.  Is there a recomended combination of base pad, follower and spring?  Appreciate any insight.

TTI 4mm base pads with grams springs & followers seems to be the norm. That’s gets you 20 reloadable in a .40 prolly 23-24 in a 9mm.

Thanks for the advise.  I have been trying to decide between the dawson vs. the TTI.  I like the idea of easily being able to take them apart but it seems many folks prefer the TTI.  Is there a paticular reason?

I got TTI because of its retaining pin.  Does Dawson have positive retention?  I can't tell from their ads and I was tired of factory floor plates popping off when dropped.

Personally, I don’t think you can go wrong with either option for a 2011. Big thing between TTI and Dawson is size. They are both easy to disassemble and work on without tools.

Depends on what style magwell you have. Dawson does not work well with the cheely grip/magwell. The TTI  will work with any magwell.

“sauza45” hit the nail on the head. I used the Dawson with great success until I changed to the Limcat magwell; then I had to change to the TTI 4mm.

i use dawson basepads and grams spring/follower kits, 22 reloadable, zero issues with my 9mm sti eagle and edge.  the couple of mbx's i have hold 23.
