Posvar
Are there any aftermarket base pad options to get closer to 170mm length or 27ish rounds? All I am seeing are options like CZC +3 or Henning +3, etc.
Fishbreath
The CZC spring/follower kit plus a 140mm extension get you to 23+1, which I ran in CO two years ago. Cain Arms says their extensions are good for +4 or +5, but I don't have one to verify.
Posvar
Thank you. Does the cz custom base pad come with the spring and follower kit? I’m not seeing that on the website.
Fishbreath
I don't think it's listed as a P-09 part anymore, but it's this one: https://czcustom.com/czc-spring-and-follower-kit-10.html The picture looks identical to the ones I bought, but you may want to confirm before pulling the trigger. Posvar
Thanks. I looked at the Cain. Very affordable if they work. I like the idea of a choosing a color. No mention of needing to use anything other than the stock guts.
SGT_Schultz
I bought one of those Cain Arms extensions. It's a cheap 3D printing and didn't allow me more than +2 with the stock follower and spring. I also seriously doubt they pass the mag gauge

The new CZC follower and spring combination will add capacity to all you CZ magazines. Works on the Standard CZ 75 Magazine and on the Tactical Sports Magazine (TS). Can you confirm that it did work on P-09/P-10F magazines?

I went back and checked my email to make sure they hadn't changed the part number; still 10522 for the full kit. I had to buy a replacement follower in 2019, having cracked one of the ones I bought earlier, and the invoice for that one mentions TS in the part name, but it's identical to the ones I bought earlier (before they removed the note about P-09 compatibility). dogtired
I bought a Strike industries extension to try. It gets you to 24 with no mods but is greater than 140, less than 170 mm. They are $18ish.

Thanks I assume the pistol won't lock back on an empty mag with that follower, right?

They don't lock back in 9mm magazine bodies, but do lock back in .40 bodies. (Presumably the wider feed lips let the follower get high enough to engage the catch.) Posvar
I can't take any credit for it but it looks like some modified mag bodies are in the works to make 170mm with Henning extensions and Grams guts. Should be 28ish reloadable when done. Hopefully the gent on this forum getting this done will update us when they are done.
Posvar
I learned this weekend you can use a 15 round .40 P09 mag body with Grams spring and follower and Henning basepad for 24+1. I ordered 5 mags for this.

Posvar
Matt Hemple with CZ said it works reliably. From what I understand no mods to mag body are needed. You must use 9mm Grams guts. We will see.
Superkaratemonkeyfighter
That’s strange. It just sounds like something that would never work. interested in what you find out. Isn’t He’s running a SP01 though.

Posvar
Correction, I meant to say Matt Hopkins with CZ not Matt Hemple.
K-wal
I remembered I bought some .40 mags for the DWX. I dug one out and loaded it up with 9mm. Held 19 and hand cycled without issue. No feed lip adjustment necessary.
dogtired
Taylor Freelance has a 140mm extension for the compact that installed on the P10f mag gets you over 155mm. They will supply a longer spring. I have not tried one yet.
AK-Monkey
I can second the Strike Industries +5 extension. The package is listed as for a P-10F mag, but technically the same mage. I did not measure OAL though.
Snopczynski
Here are the 170mm P10 Mags I had built back in 2021. I am trying to track them down again.
