The lok bogie lightweight are supposed to be 25gr. So with those and plastic basepad I'd be super close. Is the guiderod a cz or 1911 or special for the dwx? I'm thinking if a plastic guiderod from a cz would work I would probably be under the 43 without slide milling.

Just got my DWX from CZ Custom after they did the optics cut.

45 Ounces exactly for those interested in IDPA.

Looks great!  Can you share how long it took for CZC to complete the optic milling?

Has anyone heard on when it is going to become available again? I have been looking around all of the shops that are within a couple hours drive of me along with online and have not been able to find anything out there. Other than the fake Dan Wesson website trying to sell them I guess. Any help or information would be much appreciated. Thank you

It's not a 1911 guide rod unfortunately.  I've got my slide at CGW to have some weight taken out of it.  I wanted to do that and potentially have a section milled out of the middle of the pic rail on the frame.  I opted to just do the slide cuts for now as I should be good with the lightweight lok grips and the slide cuts.  When i get it back from cgw I will share the weight

Check out my post on reddit for some details: https://old.reddit.com/r/CZFirearms/comments/13cxbw1/details_on_replacing_dwx_grips/

Long story short, 1911 grip screws 0.150-50 TPI. https://lokgrips.com/accessories/1911-hex-screws-black/

Fun little discovery mid stage today - the factory DWX basepads (and the P10 base pads) dont seat reliably in the TSO mag well on the DWX. It might peel off the first round, but the rest won't feed.

How does that make sense? Sounds more like a spring/follower issue?

When they showed up locally to me they had 1/2 dozen and then they have been gone again. It seems they’re still having supply issues. Bums me out as someone who owns one as well because I think the aftermarket demand for anything is low because they just aren’t available. I’m contemplating selling mine for a TS2 orange

Long story short, I have used these factory mags with factory grips and it's fine. Did not function with the mag well. Came home and was able to recreate the issue with blanks. (Peels first round starting from open slide, doesn't load anything else)

Proceeded to use a factory p10 basepad(which looks dimensionally identical to the dwx basepad) and modify it to cut off the rounded nose and add a generous chamfer on the top. Could no longer recreate the problem and every round loaded fine.

I'll confirm at the range when I get a chance.

I received the slide back today and weighed the dwx with the lightweight LOK grips and the skeleton cut slide from cgw.  With an empty p10f mag it weighs exactly 43 oz.  Right on the nose for idpa ESP.  I'll use it for idpa at local matches but would consider milling out the center of the picatinny rail if I were going to bring it to a major match.

The optics cut version will probably be as ugly as the specialist.  I hope not, but probably.  I'm sure I'll be sticking with the regular iron sight version unless they can make it have a blended in look like the staccato or the IOS.  I guess I wouldn't care if I was going to actually run an optic, but I'm not ready yet.
