mattmd1
Hi all - I am shooting a gen 3 G19 for now. It's stock except for new Dawson sights that I got from recommendations here (thanks!). I am a lefty and would like to be able to more quickly / easily hit the mag release with my trigger finger, and find the factory release a little small and tough to push quickly. Does anyone recommend any aftermarket ones? I prefer the larger button-style mag releases on M&P's, CZ's, etc. I found several online but am curious to what other people (especially lefties) like. Thanks very much.
12glocks
In the older generation Glock world, the large frame mag releases (20, 21) are the extended mag releases in the small frames. This part is used in the G34 for example. There are other parts but this is so cheap. mveto
Check out Zev Tech, their mag release has a larger paddle, makes for easy reloads
Djp55
I've used the Hyve one and it was a good bit bigger.
hiflyer51
RYG Extended Length Magazine Releases are the best I have tried , not too big, but just big enough
TalkingMonkey
I like the Vickers Tactical mag release. It's long enough, but not so long that you will accidentally actuate it.
45 Raven
Another vote for the Vickers Tactical mag release.
Steelslinger86
I use an extended mag release, but the thing that made the biggest difference was changing the spring. I went with the one from rock your Glock. It drops the spring weight from about 5 lbs to around 2.5 lbs. As a lefty, I found this to be the biggest help. mattmd1
Thanks for the advice, everyone. I ended up going with a ghost mag release because I liked the button style and I also ordered a reduced spring from Rockyourglock (thanks Steelslinger!)
