Snowb1rd
http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-shadow-2-black/ Says discontinued in 2017. What gives? I thought these were pretty well in demand still. Is there gonna be a new gun reveal at Shot Show in 5 days?
B_RAD
I heard they were no longer gonna do the nitride only S2. The ones that come with blue grips. Wonder if they got the guns mixed up? Edited January 18, 2018 by B_RAD
cheby
So what the difference? Color of the grips??
Snowb1rd
Oh ok I see it now. B_RAD is correct. The part #s 91254 and 91256 were nitride only (black and blue grips respectively) 91257 is the new part number for Shadow 2 and it's nitride with polycoat on top. sdm702
looks like they gave up on the full nitride version and are slapping blue grips on the black polycoat over nitride frame.
eerw
91254 is discontinued 91257 is the black and blue version for 2018. its the 91254 with blue grips.

slavex
it is a shame they can't sort out the Arcore issue with the frames, it's 100% cosmetic and not performance related. I'm going to go cuddle my two consecutively numbered Arcore guns now

To be honest I’m not enthusiastic with the trigger on my S2. My Cajunized SP-01 had a superior trigger. I’m going to have to gut my S2 and throw the parts in something else. Quack
I think the 2017 equipment survey was 15% Shadow 2, and 12% Shadow

kmanick
hmmm I just ordered a 91254 black shadow 2, I guess some dealers still have a few, mine is incoming
eerw
There are lots of 91254 and 91255 still around.
RevolverJockey
I am a little lost. Looking at CZs site, it shows the 91254 and 91256 discontinued/limited production. What aren’t they discontinuing and/or what are they replacing it with? I found a S2 all black for sale locally and am wondering if I shouldn’t just pick it up. Rdelawder
Ok I have a 91254 and love the gun. What should I be worried about with this model being discontinued? Is it finish wear?

This was my understanding as well. 91254 "Black" = Poly 91256 "Blue" = Nitride Both discontinued in favor of 91257 "Black and Blue" to include poly over nitride w/ the blue grips. If 91254 is in fact nitride-only, that would be cool & I'd be interested, but I don't think that's the case. An email to CZ didn't really disambiguate or otherwise provide explanation concerning my questions about the the 91254 SKU, rather re-explaining what I already knew about the new-for-2018 models. Thanks.
RevolverJockey
I picked up a 91254 today and it is what looks like bare bluing on the slide and polycoat on the frame.
eerw
91254 is nitrite slide with polycoat over nitrite lower. 91255 is urban gray polycoat over nitrite 91256 is nktrite over nitrite 91257 (2018) is the 91254 with blue grips.
rasputinlv
Hello. I went to LGS, and they have 91254. On the box sticker date says 03/07/2018. But website says it's discontinued. So, this model in production? Regardless, I put it on layway Thanks an advance.
