I don't know you, just read your posts here and see people using your stuff. And I never associate someone's a-hole'edness against their gracious sponsorship of shooting sports.

Yeah, turned out to be a good match and a lot of fun was had by pretty much everyone. Only the squads that shot in the AM on Friday had to deal with much precipitation despite the clouds and seemingly constant threat of "liquid sunshine".

There were some things that weren't done the way I would have done them but hey, it wasn't my match and given all the work Tri-County had to do to make this one go I think they did an astounding job!

The squad missed you EricW! We, however, did inbibe some potables for you. Remember to have a hang-over sometime in the near future please.

This was the biggest match I've ever shot. I was very happy to finish at 61+ percent of Travis. I was a bit (understatement) overconfident going in. I'd had some good showings at our club matches of late coming off of back surgery, and realized that shooting 78% of the match winner at club matches doesn't equate to a similar level of performance at an Area match.

Chuck did an outstanding job arranging the prize table. It was a veritable smorgasbord of all kinds of good stuff (wish my name had been called earlier).

Also, much thanks goes out to all the match staff.

I learned a whole lot from this match and hope to shoot Area 1 again next year. Any idea where it will be?

The only down part for me was having to bail to catch an 8:00 flight before my name got called for the prize table. (Well, that and the 3 points that kept me from 1st M). I did stick an overall stage win-- and did it by racking up the points, so let that be a lesson to you whippersnappers and top GM's :D

While there was a TX Star, this was no 'BIPSC' match-- there was one total hoser stage, but all the rest of the targets were moving or festooned with no-shoots and hard-cover, sometimes at distances people weren't too keen on shooting head shots at. I thought it was a good mix of shooting challenges both in and between the stages.

The weather was great, the people cool, and an ice cream stand at the range is a must-have. I'm putting this one on the list to come back to.

Was there an official announcement of where A1 2007 will be and I missed it or was it not announced? I know two of the SC's (at least) were unable to attend so wondering if the formal decision got delayed.

I have heard rumors that Marysville will host in 2007. Time to start the A1 2007 thread?

There is no announcement for the 2007 match. there were not enough SCs at the match for a quorum, so we did not have the annual Area-1 SC meeting (first time that has happened in a very long time! Hope it is not a trend....)
