Mk18 Posted June 19, 2016 Share Posted June 19, 2016 Stroking is one of about 10 things you can do to an Open gun to make it "feel" better to you. I personally love all my stroked guns. Your best bet is to shoot one non stroked vs one stroked with similar characteristics(topple holes, slide cuts, comps, etc) side-by-side Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jcc7x7 Posted June 19, 2016 Share Posted June 19, 2016 I own a stroked Akai gun and have owned a non stroked Akai gun. Both shot great once I was used to the timing of the gun and got a load worked out for each gun and sprung the way it preformed best for me! I could not "on the clock" shoot one faster than the other maintaining the A zone. I split and transitioned both guns the same. When tested doing drills on the timer. With that said if I was having new gun built I would most likely have it stroked. If I had a good gun already and it wasn't stroked probably would work out the load and set up and shoot it as is.
