Open1215
Ouch! Fl is normally 100 or just below. Then we get 2 or 3 months in the 70s that's nice.
mont1120
39, that's a heat wave up here in MT. Today we worked in 19 degrees, with 6 inches of snow on the ground. Getting too old for this stuff.

tcazes
And we just broke below 70 here in La for the first time since Christmas last year lol.
Open1215
Lol. Well something gun related. I loaded 124 and 115 under hs-6. The hs-6 and 124 shot (slightly )softer. Hardly noticeable at all. The 115g had much more reliable dot tracking. Very up and down moment and flatter shooting.
tcazes
Have you tried autocomp? I MUCH prefer it over hs6. Not as violent and cleaner burning in my opinion. I run 7.3-7.5 depending on the match location. 7.5 has excellent grouping. 7.3 has good grouping but a softer recoil pulse into the hand. All shooting 124 MG fmj
Open1215
I loaded some WAC and CFE pistol under a 115g. I'm going to load a batch under a 124 and compare them all. I'm going to load 3n38 under the 124 too. What oal are you running?
tcazes
I'm running 1.168-1.17 because that's what feeds 100% for me through the 38 super mags I have. Plus I don't need spacers. My barrel was throated for them based off some dummy rounds I made so the gun loves it as well..
Open1215
Ok. Ya I run long w no spacers as well. I think I'm set for 1.160 I'll have to look. I know I can load and shoot to 1.
Open1215
Ok. Shot today some finally. WAC and CFE pistol shot the same. No distinguishable difference at all. 124 vs 115g 115 noticeably SOFTER and flatter. Really not expecting that one. Both shot very nice. I plan to load up 100 rounds of HS 6 and 100 rounds of autocomp both under 115g and compare the two. I was very surprised. I figured PFE or autocomp Andre 124 would be much softer than the 115. I noticed EHS 6 with softer. But only marginally and nowhere near as flat. The difference in 115 and 124 in auto comp was very noticeable, however much softer with 115. tcazes
I just wish it didn't take so much powder to push a 115 in a 9mm case. I don't like compressing powder though so maybe I'm just weird lol.

Open1215
The hs6 doesn't seem compressed for me. I can measure next time. Then again I'm used to 3n38 so it's hard to compare the two really. Lol
Hi-Power Jack
I wish it didn't take so much powder to push a 115 in 9mm. I don't like compressing powder. I don't like filling the case that high, and having it spill out of the case when my reloader cycles to the next position ... So, I changed to WAC - no problems, now. kneelingatlas
As long as I don't run the press like a drunken sailor I don't spill with over 9gr of SP2 in each case.
a matt
How much SP2 do you still have? I seem to remember you had enough,,,,maybe it was last year or maybe earlier this year. Lol it's non of my business I know. I'm messing with ya. I'll ask you again next year too. Lol. Lots of good info here, I getting a second top end on my new gun so I can practice with 9mm. JRM83
Out of curiosity, can anyone post a pic of how full the 9mm case is with HS-6 loading for 115s? Been thinking about going open for a while and that was one thing I always wanted to know.
