calvinc78
What size punch is needed to remove the Saftey? 1/16 is to big....
calvinc78
Ok well tried to make a pouch and messed up the safety pin a little. Anyone know who sells them? I've looked and can't find them listed anywhere
7sst
1/16" works for me, if the punch is running large large try polishing it down a little bit.
aceinyerface
A torx precision screwdriver from Lowes. The hot jam is to replace the ambi with the Stock 1 safety, I can get much higher grip without that useless thing in the way.
bayougump
Last round armament sells replacement safety pins and I think Jim bodkin has some. I use a 1/16th and gets it started but end up having to use a small Allen wrench to punch all way through. Make sure you're using a roll pin punch or easy to mushroom those things
tbarker13
I have a set of roll pin punches I used on these guns. They make it so much easier than standard punches - at least in terms of not damaging the pins.
WJM
I made my own pin that is slightly smaller than 1/16th. Go to lowes, but a 1/16th POS pin, and put it on a drill. Use sandpaper and spin it down to the length you want. I did this and now its a breeze to take out that damned pin. Wyatt
praetorian97
I use this set. Great for regular roll pins. But wont hold up to stock CZ pins. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003L7HOMG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage 1/16" for the Safety Lever. calvinc78
Thanks for the responses. Ya I think my 1/16" punch is cheap and a little over sized. My company has a account with Grainger so bought a real good roll pin punch and a 100 pack of the 1.5mm x 12mm safety roll pins lol. That's the only size they had so I'll have a ton and only cost $7.89 shipped to my house. Can't beat that. If anyone needs a couple hit me up should be here by the end of the week. praetorian97
Take some sandpaper and sand the circumference of the punch down.

Exactly. The same reason you can part swap a tricked out hammer onto a Tanfo.
