praetorian97
On my postal scale the Stock III is 45.7 oz with a mag. 41.9 oz without a mag. Fits in IDPA Box Comfortably.

merion1930
I have xxl sized hands and currently use a Cajunized SP-01 for Production. The gun is way better than me but even with DAA thick comp grips I struggle to find room for my support hand. Is there a significant difference in grip circumference between the two? Thank you for the comparison.
eboadway
I have a Shadow Target and recently picked up a Stock II. The difference in grip size is huge. I thought I had small hands and the CZ was what I needed, but I love the large grip of the Tanfoglio. I can get a solid grip on it, the CZ almost feels like a toy in comparison... eboadway
Why doesn't the Stock III come with the heart hammer?

Thank you for the comparison. The stock grips are pretty wide. I prefer them in size but for looks Im going with the EG Xtremes I hated how thin the grip was with my Limited at first but I just deal with it now. selecw
So it will be too heavy for IDPA as stands, right? It needs to be 43oz with mag.
praetorian97
Correct. She fits in the box and would be legal for SSP if she made weight.
bmiller
Doesn't the stock 3 have a bull barrel, if it does illegal for Idpa.
emjei
Plenty of space for a Stock 3 to fit ....weight would be the struggle Mj
kneelingatlas
Why doesn't the Stock III come with the heart hammer? Because the SIII was supposed to be a cheaper alternative to the Stock II. So much for that
praetorian97
It fits comfortably.
BeerBaron
Why doesn't the Stock III come with the heart hammer? Stock 3 was released as a lower model than stock 2 so it could compete with the cz shadows better on price. Hence regular hammer instead of the delta hammer, straight barrel instead of cone/bull barrel, conventional rifling instead of polygonal rifling and blued finish instead of hard chrome. So they removed a few features and priced it lower. Still a great gun.
matts2k
I thought stock 3 wasn't idpa legal because of the full-length dust cover?
praetorian97
Just like the SP01 it would be legal under SSP IF it made weight.
thompsoncustom
ahhh just need to trim some fat off that gun and she'll make weight.

himurax13
ahhh just need to trim some fat off that gun and she'll make weight. Or you could sell it and buy two SP01 Shadows.
praetorian97
I can say these two will be permanent additions to the safe. I don't like selling guns but I sold an M&P Pro package to fund the Cajunized SP01 and my backup Tanfoglio Limited to get this Stock III. I set out to NOT buy any guns this year. But these don't count right?
kneelingatlas
I set out to NOT buy any guns this year. But these don't count right? Me too! I told my wife "sure I bought an 870 pump and an SP01, but I had good reasons for both"
