I thought about that, but CZ Custom's website says that the Accushadow needs a 7.5mm front sight. Converted to inches, that's 0.295 inches. The tallest sight I see on Dawson's site is 0.275. I search the forums and the google and came up empty, I bought an accu-shadow last fall in 2013 and wanted to replace the front sight with a thinner Dawson because I prefer the sight picture from my non-shadow SP-01 with the CGW's EZ Drift sights installed which are .095. I'm unsure of the depth of my front sight dovetail. Dawson has both .060 deep (listed for CZ 75 Shadow and SP-01) and .085 deep (list for CZ 85 Combat, Kadet 22, B Series, and CZ 75 Tactical Sport). From the comments above I've determined that a .215 tall height is ideal with the HAJO rear so I'm not sure if I should order 050-655 or 019-120 from Dawson. I was also pondering if the front sight is difficult to remove. I understand the pin is not used because of the bushing. Does that mean the front sight should slide right off when the bushing is removed? I am concerned it could be staked. Did you re-coat the top of the sight with anything? Can you post some pics of how it turned out. I just purchased an accu-shadow for Xmas. So far I love it except for the FO front sight. I use the TTI FO fronts on my glocks. I absolutely love Taran's design - FO rod at the very top, shiny screw for reflection & open top for more light. Idk why other sight makers haven't made improvements to their designs over the years. I'd really appreciate some more details & some pics. I've never filed a sight down so I'm a little nervous. I like the rod to sit at the very top of the sight rather than 3/4. IMO it makes guns more accurate bc you can shoot off of the actual FO rod rather than the top of the sight blade. I'm going to file it down slightly so the FO rod is at the very top of the sight blade similar to TTI Glock sights. I'm excited to see how it turns out.
