  1. I’m not sure how you got personal inference from the stated language of “All other gun handling”. Seems pretty clear to me.
  2. Seems most people are focused on taking a sight picture. The actual language in 10.5.19 states: Side berms/backstops may be used for casing and uncasing or removing from/placing on conveyances only. All other gun handling with the PCC, e.g., sight pictures, turning dots on/off, etc., must be accomplished in a safety area or under the direct supervision of a Range Officer. “Handling” in the rule book is defined as: (As in “handling a firearm”) The act of manipulating, holding, or gripping a firearm while the trigger is functionally accessible. Note exceptions for casing/uncasing PCC. So according to the rule book, you cannot handle the firearm, with the exception of placing or removing it from the conveyance (transport), except in the Safe Area or under direct supervision of the RO. According to the language of the rule book, the ONLY thing you can do when unbagging a PCC at a table is transport it to the Safe Area or to the RO. Therefore doing anything else including, but not limited to, looking through the sight is a DQ.
  3. I just bought the XiP pouches and find that the adjustment wheel keeps loosening up on me. The wheels are very loose feeling and spin very freely. Any tips on how to keep the adjustment wheel from backing out?
  4. Interesting. I’m having this exact same issue. I’m running the Redding Competition Seating die as well. But I was using a Lee 9mm carbide sizing/decapping die. I bought a Mighty Armory die to try out and as soon as I switched sizing/decapping dies, I started having all sorts of OAL inconsistencies. I switched back to the Lee and the OALs are all consistent now. But I don’t know why the MA die would cause that issue?
  5. Order the next height up from Dawson and file the top down. I thought about that, but CZ Custom's website says that the Accushadow needs a 7.5mm front sight. Converted to inches, that's 0.295 inches. The tallest sight I see on Dawson's site is 0.275. Of course, that may still work since I'm running a HAJO adjustable rear.....but they're out of stock at the moment. *sigh* Czcustom measure sights differently. .215 is the ticket ^^^ Oh really? That makes things a little easier! (although Dawson is still sold out of the .215) They aren't sold out...that just means they have to cut one which takes 2 more days. I got mine in 5 days. Thanks jabbermurph! Order submitted!

  8. I'm looking for a front sight replacement for my AccuShadow that has a fiber optic as close to the top edge of the front sight as possible (similar to the Taran Tactical sights). Does anyone know if someone makes one like that? Thanks!
  9. I really appreciate you taking the time to provide your input. You've just made my life a lot easier.
  10. Makes sense. Since it's only attached with one screw, do you have any issues with the pouch rotating? I know the serrated washer on the back of the versa pouch should help with that, but have you noticed any problems with it rotating at all under hard use?
  11. Ah ok. I think I see how you did it. So the trick will be to find long enough screws to attach to the fork, but not so long that they extend too far and interfere with the fork sliding in and out of the ELS slot. Sound about right?
  12. That would be much appreciated! I'd like to get a look at how it's setup because these pouches are pretty pricey to mess up.
  13. I'm also interested in modifying my CR Speed Versa mag pouches for a newly acquired Safariland ELS belt. Any tips/tricks for modifying the mag pouches for the ELS attachments?

    USPSA vs IPSC

To answer, what I believe to be your question... If you are in the USA...you will be shooting USPSA, not IPSC. Your G34 is perfectly fine and dandy for Production division. Haha! Thanks Flexmoney! I wasn't prepared for this thread to turn into a rules education! Mainly, I just wanted to know how likely it would be for me to encounter an "IPSC" sanctioned match in the United States. Sounds like it's not very likely at all. Thanks!
  15. Ok, this may be a total noob question: Are there any actual IPSC clubs in the United States? Or is everything in the U.S considered USPSA? I have a Glock G34 for shooting in USPSA production class. As I understand it, the G34 is legal in USPSA but not in IPSC. Are there any clubs in the U.S. that are IPSC and would not allow the G34 in Production?
  16. Hmmm....maybe I should get both?
  17. Wow, you guys are fast! Thanks for the replies. Since I'm fairly new to action pistol, I wanted to get some feedback from some veterans before I dove in. Thanks again!
  18. I'm about to purchase either a G34 or a G35 to shoot in USPSA. I've done quite a bit of research on this and other forums and I think I've narrowed it down to the G35 for the following reasons: -I'm gonna reload my own ammo, so I can load for either minor or major PF with the G35. -With the G35, I can decide if I want to compete in either Production, Limited, or Limited-10, thereby offering greater flexibility than the G34. -I have way more .40 factory ammo right now than I do 9mm, which will help me get started on the reloading of the .40 cartridges. My question is this: Is there any compelling reason for me to get a G34 over a G35 for reasons that I may not yet have thought of? I appreciate any input you guys can offer!
