kneelingatlas
That looks like an old school small frame, right?
Open1215
I was thinking the same thing. Simular to the p9 there's one on Gunbroker right now it is 9 X 21 with compensator and v4 ports 4 mags at the moment I've been under 500 bucks. If I had the money I'd be all over it one day I'll build a small frame. Heck one day I'll get back my 38 super! Lol
kneelingatlas
With a serial number AE00901 that 9x21 on GB is really old! I'm guessing ~1990.
Open1215
I was wrong about the v4 ports. Different gun that I saw on GB still a really cool old tanfoglio

Open1215
Well ladies and gentlemen the gun is back from canyon creek! I spoke with Rich, and he recommended I shoot it 1st before adding V ports. He doesn't want to do the V-6 due to the spacing as well as the efficiency of the comp. If anything there is plenty of room between the slide and 1st baffle for V porting or poppet holes. I am very excited to shoot this! I have several loads set up to shoot but it's raining at the moment. Soon soon! Video of gun in action soon as well. Open1215
Thank you gump. It looks beautiful! I hope to be out by the end of the week if I can find another range. The one I normally shoot at is rebuilding the baffles and is closed at the moment.

Open1215
Also I have the stock 38 super barrel. It has a nice crown on it too. I don't know a round count as I am not the original owner. It came off a lim pro and is, I believe, 4-3/4 inches long. I would love to trade if anybody is looking for one. I'm going to do a add once I get home and can take a few pics. Open1215
Well I finally found a range today. (3rd one i went to) sadly i had nothing but malfunctions. my chrono would only read every 2 or 3 shots on a 5 shot string. i was able to get some info but not enough to be solid. i will need to re check. i also orderd an 8lb spring because with the 10 lb that is in i could only get a 180pf to cycle. the comp worked great and the gun is very flat and smooth. i still dont knnow if i will go with V porting or not. i will have to see how the dot acts. i didnt even turn it on today as the dot needs to be zeroed again. i coulfnt figure out the reason for my chrono malfunctions untill i had packed up and left after shooting 75% of the ammo i had. it was the 1st time shooting at this range and there is an overhang that didnt allow enough sun for it to work consistantly. gun shoots great and i am very happy over all. hercster
WOW, very nice start. Buying two at a time makes for a longer fix before the addiction to new guns starts again.
SpaceFlunky
WOW, very nice start. Buying two at a time makes for a longer fix before the addiction to new guns starts again. that is true! Tho as soon as I see a decently priced Stock II in 9mm, im buying it! Im going to play in Limited for a few years, so I am in no rush to buy one at ridiculous prices. Here is a link the whole album of pics I took of my pistols. http://imgur.com/a/vOQN7#

Open1215
Minor update. I revived my 8lb recoil spring today. The spring that is in it is the old spring not the 10lb I thought it was. No biggie springs are cheap I was just shocked that a 10lb wouldn't cycle unless my 124g was pushing 1400fps! Lol. So next range trip I'm sure all of my cycling issues will be fixed. I will see how the gun functions w 10 vs 8 lb and run what works best with the loads. Now in Zombie green pin stripes! Open1215
Make that racing stripes... this is a race gun after all! Stripes make it shoot faster, flatter and add 10pf to all loads!
Open1215
Well i got to shoot it w the 8lb spring. Everything I fed it cycled even regular loads. :-) shoots very flat and the dot stays in the glass the entire time. Tracking is a mild jiggle depending on the load. 10.5 3n38 115g shot great. AA7 11.5g w 115 did too. Sadly still couldn't use my chronograph so I'm not sure if it was major. My favorite load was with HS-7 and a 115g. I'm not sure if 10.5g made maj or not but it was by far the softest and fattest by far. Should be able to chrono soon I hope.
